2. PROPHET MUHAMMAD
Prophet Muhammad was born in 570 CE.
He as orphaned at an early age.
He was brought up by his grandfather and uncle.
He became a herder when he grew up.
He worked for a wealthy widow Khadija.
He, later, lost his interest in the business.
He spent his maximum time in meditation.
3. He preferred place for meditation was the CAVE OF HIRA.
At the age of 40, he had visions of Angel Jibriel (Gabriel).
Angel Jibriel worked as a mediator between Allah and his messengers.
It is believed that the angel told him that Allah has choosen him to spread
his divine message across the world.
Prophet Muhammad shared his vision with his wife and family. They
became his followers
They accepted him as the messenger of Allah (Rasul Allah).
4. PILLARS OF ISLAM
Prophet Muhammad preached the message of Allah to his followers
from time to time. These messages were complied in a book called
Quran.
The Quran states that all Muslims must perform five essential duties.
These are called the five pillars of Islam which are as follows:
5. 1. SHAHADA – Believe in one Almighty and Supreme, Allah, and accept Prophet
Muhammad as the messenger of Allah.
2. SALAT – Every muslim should offer prayers five times a day facing Kaaba.
3. SAWM – Muslims must have fast from early morning till sunset during the holy month
of Ramzan.
4. ZAKAT – Muslims must donate a certain amount of their earnings to the poor.
5. HAJ – All muslims must visit Mecca at least once in their lifetime.
