Background information: Coffee people use to stay
awake. It could also be used for plants for example: the
mug beans that I will use for this project, I will put a
mixture of coffee and water. Some plants seem to benefit
and grow faster when the coffee is added to soil, while the
other two seemed to be growing slower. There are some
plants that are not affected in the presence of the coffee
in the soil. Coffee can be introduced to the soil by
sprinkling grounded coffee over the soil, adding leftover,
coffee to the pot watering with a coffee solution made by
dissolving a caffeine (coffee) tablet water. The grounded
coffee is actually organic matter and will helping adding
nutrition’s to the soil.
It will also attract worms that feed on grounded
coffee and at the same time help to oxygenate the soil.
