In that time they were already devoted to cultivating vines in their estates of the village Enate, in the heart of Somontano, and that they have continued with this activity year after year, generation after generation. Lorenzo Otto Bestué, together with his father Lorenzo, have taken the next step and have built an authentic family winery where to produce with great care wines that take by name the surname of a family saga that has been in the complex wine business for centuries. 5. 5. GLOBALIZACIÓN DE VINOS, S.L. AXIAL VINOS SPAIN | EUROPE | AXIAL WINES USA D.O. SOMONTANO Somontano is one of the Denominations of Origin that highlights more in Spain as a reference in quality despite its youth. Sheltered by the Pyrenees Mountains (350-650 m above sea) Somontano’s unique personality is due to the mild sun and rain(2.700 annual hours of sun and 500mm rainfall), turning it out into a really oasis in Spanish continental climate. The result is limy soils, poor in organic material with a very good permeability. Vineyards and grape The winery Otto Bestué owns 45 hectares of vineyards of the best quality located in the heart of the Denominación de Origen Somontano. Otto Bestué harvest unique, good-quality, good-care Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Chardonnay grapes. At the foot of the mountain © Axial Globalización de Vinos

  11. 11. GLOBALIZACIÓN DE VINOS, S.L. AXIAL VINOS SPAIN | EUROPE | AXIAL WINES USA THIRD PARTY RECOMMENDATION “A remarkable blend of Cab and Tempranillo, this superstar is from importer Axial Wines.” Under The Grape Tree “Somontano enjoys a unique microclimate. The climate verges on the Mediterranean (olives are grown in the area), but its proximity to the Pyrenees allows cool mountain breezes to descend to the area. The result is excellent temperature differences between day and night and therefore elegant wines.” Great Wenstern Wine © Axial Globalización de Vinos
