A Quick Glance over Self-Grooming & Hands-on Experience
[While rendering different dimensions of the Growth Process for over four decades]
Fortunate with the opportunities to author and practice innovative tools including strategies,
approaches & methodologies to bring-in the needed change to foster the process of Nation’s
growth, I feel indebted to the Government of India, Uttar Pradesh & Bihar, Corporate and
Development sector players for entrusting the faith in me to let me render my responsibilities. The
immense support through the span of over four decades enabled me to serve the thought that the
Balancing of Natural Resources & Values viz; Health, Education, Environment, and Moral,
Social, Sports & Cultural Values are the focus areas to fine-tune Human Development Index,
and the Performance of individuals, institutions, and that of communities. Embedding these five
elements [Panch-Tatva] into one’s performance and streamlining the resultant with economic
[entrepreneurial / industrial] development, makes the Growth Process complete.
The primary engine to drive these tools has been a self-devised AVID Approach. ‘AVID’ stands for
‘Action-centric Visual Implementation Dynamics’. , a rich experience based mental action platform].
It enables Project Teams conduct a pre-project diagnosis to evaluate viability.
These proved to be innovative methodologies for conducting Social Research hands-on and in
practicing CSR [Corporate Social Responsibility] based projects. Even the initial working on
developing and maturing AVID Approach has enabled the State & the Central governments, and
development sector revisit & revamp their respective approaches for the development process
since 1991. On its launch during the fag-end of 90’s and beginning of the millennium, a lot more
was done in the CSR, Social Mobilisation, Social Marketing, and Performance Growth domains.
Yet another productive contribution through the series of AVID Tools was a well-researched and
people-centric Communications Extension Methodology, ‘MMC-Plus’ [Mass Motivation &
Convergence of Services, where the Plus factor enthuse the practice of people-mobilise-people].
Supported by UNICEF, this tool was adopted and launched by GoUP in 1991 as a State
Programme to further the cause of information dissemination and good governance, especially in
the rural areas as “Kisan Sewa Kendra”. [Irrespective of change-of-guards, this is still in regular
practice. Tehsil & Thana Diwas are its offshoots].
Maintaining otherwise a low profile, Aditya has been fortunate to continue practicing his latest
Social Research Tool, “Community Connect” and transform his understanding to evolve Change
Tools to effectively foster Social Growth process based on CSR-centric Innovations and Social
Marketing. Community Participation, Capacity Building including coaching & mentoring to develop
Entrepreneurial Skills and Leadership & Sustainability Management are integrated in these tools.
Having served the UN System through UNICEF & facilitating UNDP, DFID, Care-India, State
Governments of UP & Bihar, and various National Programmes achieve their Objectivity-of-the-
Purpose; he has authored a series of Development Tools and SMART2
Plans, which has changed
the course of Policy framing and implementation across Development sector. Currently, he has
been hired by the Ozone Cell, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change - GoI to facilitate
authoring Green Guidelines for various sectors including Building & Construction, Sand Mining etc.
The way to do it lies in his application of the AVID Approach, a mental-action-platform to view the
third person’s perspective in igniting Individual and Social Responsibility amidst the individuals,
institutions and communities.
He feels rather proud to relate his career with one or the other form of communication.
A Table in the next sheet briefly describes it.

the Inter-personal Communication."
__ Aditya Vidyasagar
"If I submit my findings from
nearly forty years in Social
Growth Communications,
more than half of which,
working closely with and for
the youth, women and rural
poor, especially the
excluded segments through
different verticals, which are
responsible to function the
systems of governance,
corporate and academia, I
would rather summarize that
besides strengthening the
communities with health &
education, balancing the
natural resources, nurturing
the cultural values and
inculcating sportsmanship,
sensitising the functionaries
to practice endurance, and
enabling beneficiaries to
participate in the Growth
Process & to sustain the
impact of the entire effort
are among the major
elements to learn and do!
This much needed change in
working attitude, as I
personally believe, will help
us generate consciousness
to be a developed Nation ".
Whenever, balancing the
natural resources is referred to,
it is the WATER that I keep on
priority!

FOCUS SEGMENTS: FOCUS INTERVENTIONS:
Adolescents • Natural Resources, especially Environment with focus on Water
Youth, Women, and • Agri Produce, especially Herbs & Horticulture
Rural Poor • Sustainable Livelihood, especially Entrepreneurial Skills
With nearly forty years of exposure in delivering professional services and nearly thirty-three years of
rich experience base, Mr. Aditya Vidyasagar is a Development Management Practitioner, Trainer and
Facilitator to plan, produce and place Innovations-at-CSR for Management and Practices pertaining to
issues of social relevance. His working relationships with UN system including UNICEF, UNDP, UNIDO,
with some of the top International Development Agencies like DFID, Care, Oxfam-UK, Clinton
Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has compounded by extending his specialised nature
services for strategizing, training and implementation of the state-run social development programmes.
Various Departments of the Government of India, Governments of Uttar Pradesh & Bihar, to Corporate
sector organisations including PepsiCo, Bharti [Airtel], Coca Cola India. His focus domains include;
natural Resources, especially Water and Green Conservation. The primary segments he loves to cater to
include Adolescents, Youth Women & Rural Poor through his proven & result-oriented Social Growth Tool;
‘Action-centric Visual Implementation Dynamics’ better known as AVID Approach.
Corporate, Government and Development Sector forums are his platforms to perform his thoughts.
An incidental encounter with the State of the World Children Report led him to dedicate all his skills and
experience he gained by practicing them for the commercial sector to the cause of development sector
and since 1984, he accepts only socially relevant assignments. Building sensitised communities, creating
partnership opportunities and inculcating ownership among the stakeholders of the organisations he
serves, are his core values.
In October 2005, Aditya founded the Rain Water Harvesting Core Group and formally launched it in a year
later to facilitate popularisation of water conservation and other environment related programmes. He has
been instrumental in installing India’s First Nullah-cum-Storm Water Recycling plant in 2001 located at
Vasant Vihar in New Delhi with support from the local community and Bharti Telenet by collaborating with
IIT-Delhi and the Centre for Science & Environment.
Besides being instrumental in plantation of about a million saplings in different parts of the country, he has
so far designed and implemented 33 Rainwater Harvesting projects in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh with an
annual recharge potential of more than 24 million litres of water. It includes five projects, recharging in
excess of 3 million litres annually with support from Coca Cola India in Lucknow alone. Besides it, he
facilitates State Ground Water Board, Jal Sansthan, SWaRA, and WALMI etc. with his talks in their
Seminars & Workshops, and trainings on Water Management & Communications Practices.
Aditya uses his basic strengths of CSR, Community Connect, and Leadership Communications to
mobilise societies and capacitate them through innovative trainings on inculcating Water Management
Practices and Entrepreneurial Skills. These practices have provided him with opportunities to evolve
Innovative CSR Practice modules. The CSR-oriented Convergence and the Community Connect
Participatory Communications are the two most sought-after of his practicing tools.
An UNDP Trained “Leadership-for-Results” Facilitator at its first Asia level four-day residential workshop,
Aditya strongly believes in “The Five Element Formula for holistic Social Growth” and accordingly treats
Education, Health and Environment Conservation as the three key components, and Industry &
Media as the two catalysts, which affect the GDP, especially that of the developing countries.
He is one of the original architects and leading advocates of the Corporate Social Responsibility
movement in Asia. After his stint as All India Chief of Advertising & MassComm for Sahara India, Aditya
was influenced by UNICEF to float his own Strategic Communications Partnering Consultation outfit,
Vidyasagar Associates with a primary aim of fostering development process and inculcating Leadership
among the practitioners in the social, academia and industrial sectors.
Aditya is a great and sincere friend of industry since 1993 and has been meaningfully involved
with its various forums including, CII, PHDCCI, FICCI, ASSOCHAM and IIA. He has given the final
shape to the State’s own mega Food Processing event, India Food Expo for IIA and the Nawab Brand
Promotion among the Ambassadors and High Commissioners of more than 56 countries with PHDCCI,
and has also served as the Core Committee member of the Academia Task Force of FICCI. In close
association with CII he has initiated various efforts to promote industry in UP. He has the credit of
facilitating the GoUP in designing the two of its most successful tours to USA & UK.
He has to his credits of being the first professional practitioner hired as CorpComm Advisor to the GoUP
serving through Udyog Bandhu for Positioning & Branding the State as the Preferred Industrial
Investment Destination, and innovated events like The Hall of Strengths, The Top Ten Show, the trend-
setting series of InvestMart to attract investments for the State from within India and abroad.
As Corporate Communications Consultant to the State Government of Uttar Pradesh, he has facilitated in
authoring State Industrial Policy, 1994. It was the first after India was open to the Global Economy, which
showcased an industry friendly Government. This Policy introduced concepts like Sectoral Industrial Policies,
Sector-specific Working Groups, and Tripartite Meetings to foster trouble shooting, events like InvestMart,
Catalogue Shows and forming structured delegations abroad and boosting participation in trade & commerce
expos to position the State as a promising Investment Destination and branding it as “UP, a Land of
Unlimited Potential”. The efforts resulted in transmitting positive signals to the industry and an
unprecedented progress was recorded in terms of IEMs filed. The rank scaled up from one of the bottoms to
be among the top three.
Teaching PR, Corporate and Development Communication in various Management and Mass
Communication Institutes, Aditya contributes academia by designing, developing and revamping course
syllabuses for subjects of development-orientation. The latest among them is the Master’s Degree in Social
Engineering for the University of Lucknow.
Fostering development process by clicking a win-win among the stakeholders is the mission of his products
and practices.

Working Experience with Aditya Vidyasagar
Having seen the work of Aditya, one can say that he is innovative, dynamic, energetic, and has great capabilities
to create assets and mobilize resources through his experience and training sessions.
My working relationship with him dates back to mid-eighties when I was Deputy Municipal Commissioner of
Lucknow. Aditya was the Executive Director of an advertising agency, which was assisting Lucknow Nagar
Mahapalika. Besides other issues, stray cattle and encroachment were the two major civic concerns for the
Municipal Corporation. He organized a Mass Campaign involving the beneficiaries and the functionaries on a
common platform of understanding Civic Rights and Responsibilities towards each other.
One got to see more of his capabilities when as Addl. Registrar of Co-operatives an awareness campaign was to
be launched. He again proved his competence in managing a large campaign out of little funds available for the
purpose without compromising on the output of the effort.
After a gap of about five years, he was serving the Upper India Office of UNICEF as Consultant: Information &
Communications. His services were utilized yet again. On this occasion, it was for multiple sensitizations drives
on issues of social relevance including health, education, literacy, environment and all the state-run development
programmes at the grass-root level throughout Uttar Pradesh. He, in 1981 had devised a Communication
Extension Methodology based on dovetailing of available resources, 'MMC-Plus', which he proposed to UNICEF
for implementation in UP through the Directorate of Information & PR. This proposal was not only accepted by the
GoUP but was also supported by UNICEF. It was a novel concept of information dissemination and establishing a
two-way flow of communications. The effort was enormously successful in terms of reaching out to the rural and
semi-urban masses and in fostering the process of development. Here again he demonstrated his ability to adapt
to the changing situation and learn from his own actions, and he revised the strategies accordingly during its three
and half years run in the State. He came up with strategies like Coordination and Communication Committees
right from Sub-divisional to State level. He personally visited and facilitated all the then 63 districts in preparing
and implementing these plans. He also developed and conducted various workshops and training sessions for
different levels of functionaries from as many as 34 partner organizations representing State and Central
Government, Public, Private and NGO sectors.
Such a mammoth task would have not been possible but for his co-ordination and managerial capabilities,
creative skills and remarkable ability to build and work with teams. Later UNICEF hired him on institutional basis
as Executive Consultant to the Director-Information; UP to continue facilitating partners in implementing his own
product, 'MMC-Plus'.
During my term as Executive Director, Udyog Bandhu in 1993, Aditya was an obvious choice to bring-in
innovations to boost industrial development. He devised a corporate communications plan for industrial
development in the State, including creation of Government-industry interactive opportunities, and developed
events like InvestMart, The Top Ten Show and The Hall of Strengths.
He was instrumental in fostering academic and business relations with federations, chambers, associations and
trade fair organisers as part of the strategic plan for industrial development of the State. He handled co-ordination
with organizations like CII, PHDCCI, FICCI, IIA, ITPO, WISITEX, and UNDP admirably well.
Devising and implementing self-reliant promotional tools including business events, newsletter and video films,
projecting investment opportunities was again a strength, which he developed hands-on during the course of
assignments. With a highly motivated attitude and development-oriented mindset, Aditya, will prove to be an asset
for any organization.
All my good wishes are with him for success in his mission.

To whom it may concern
This is to share my personal experience of hiring Mr. Aditya Vidyasagar for two of the organizations of repute,
PepsiCo India Holdings and Bharti TeleNet, where we worked together for over two years.
He was hired primarily to look after the Corporate Affairs Cell for UP and Uttaranchal by the UP Unit of PepsiCo
India Holdings, headquartered at Lucknow. The assignment involved hectic touring all over the two States and
the specific JD included balancing relationships with government, administration and functionaries of various
public organizations to ensure smooth operations.
He proved well in order of his personal background and professional competency and performed much more than
just handling Corporate Affairs.
His concrete contributions in the fields of strategic promotion and handling critical situations besides that from
his primary role have been noteworthy.
I am personally delighted to list some of his major achievements_
He took the initiatives to successfully break key-accounts, handle critical issues related to S&D including
revival of major accounts and settlement of pending issues.
He brought-in PR innovations in aligning prestigious accounts with much respect. He has also taken
initiatives in using his electronic and print media relations remarkably well in handling and managing news
during a major crisis, which was being faced by the Company at that point of time.
He proved his communications skills extremely well in strengthening relations with relevant departments,
officials and functionaries. His approach to do so was very innovative and fruitful. He facilitated them in
formulating various social development projects. The most prominent amongst these projects was the Magh
Mela Advertising Revenue Generation Plan for the District Administration of Allahabad. His negotiations, in
barter of this service, to bag 80% free of the ad-space PepsiCo hired in this event of dominant influence,
which I later got to learn, is regarded as world number two mass event, was amazingly interesting.
He has been successful in preparing strategic plans and getting them implemented aptly to boost shares and
market base. The Army Garrison accounts spread over Allahabad, Kanpur and Bareilly and La Martiniere
Girls' College accounts are the two amongst the major ones bagged by PepsiCo through his innovative
approach.
At his primary role of Corporate Affairs, he has streamlined and aligned departments, officials at the State
level with a proper networking at all PepsiCo locations in UP and Uttaranchal. This proved to be a job-
efficient and cost effective methodology. This approach has not only saved enough time for him to render his
skills into other aforementioned spheres but has also provided a fillip to the respect and regards of our
relations with the concerned and competent authorities.
At Bharti TeleNet, he was hired to float and Head the Community Development Division. The basic
responsibility was to streamline the Corporate Social Responsibility for the Company. Here again he proved his
Social Development skills, his major forte. His quick-result approach of having segmented Delhi into Industrial,
Commercial, Residential, and then picking up projects to suit the communities in the three sectors proved very
fruitful in terms of gaining highly creditable relations with the potential consumers of our Basic Telephony in
Delhi. His concern for the underground water depletion in Delhi was noticeable. He has been a guiding force in
Rainwater Harvesting and Water-recycling projects, the communities undertaken during his stay with us at Bharti.
His efforts facilitated the Marketing, Sales and Project teams in accomplishing their tasks smoothly and in
earning a respectful image for the company.
His very productive working relationships with Industrial, Social, Media bodies, and his rich experience of devising,
managing, implementing development projects and business promotion events, I feel, will come very handy for any
organization he serves.
I wish him great success in all his endeavours.

Self-Statement elaborating expertise in Social Sector with emphasis on CSR Initiatives,
Community Mobilisation & Management of Natural Resources especially, Greens & Water
TO WHOSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN
This is to state that I, Aditya Vidyasagar s/o Late Sri GP Khare resident of C – 375, Sector B1,
Mahanagar, Lucknow _ 226 006 do confirm the following _
. _ that the journey with the social sector commenced since the school time, the appreciation through the
award of Raja Ranajay Singh Social Service Trophy consecutively for three years (1974-77) evoked
an interest enough in me to devise a Communication Extension Methodology, “MMC-Plus”. It stands
for Mass Motivation & Convergence [of services], where the ‘Plus’ factor played the role of people
mobilizing people in a progressive manner. It was an outcome of my stint with social service
advertising in 1981 during the Test-run of a rural product for PCDF [The ‘Parag Milk & Butter’ people].
It was matured through research-oriented implementation in six different segments of the rural & urban
areas spread over the entire State of Uttar Pradesh. The Methodology and its Application concepts
were matured at the field level through various public-delivery organisations in Government, Corporate
and Social sector organisations.
Later the Methodology was adopted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and was supported by
UNICEF for state-wide promotion of the Participatory Development Process in 1991. It was
successful to the extent of evolving a social system of governance introduced by the
Government as “Kisan Sewa Kendra” the same year. It also resulted into declining the load on our
Judiciary as well.
. _ that in the year 1973, I entered into the circuit of creative professionals as a producer of a Radio
Jingle, and during the decades of 80’s & 90’s, I have been actively associated, and served various
Government, Non-Government, Public, Private and Corporate sector organizations, departments and
societies. Major amongst them include; Awadh Ads, Sahara India, Unicef, Department of Industrial
Development, UP Pollution Control Board, Directorate of Environment, Worldwide Fund for Nature in
India, Department of Women and Child Development (GoI & GoUP), Hariyali (a prominent NGO for
Environment Conservation), Centre for Environment Education.
. _ that I had devised yet another Environment Conservation and Promotion System, “Worldwide
Social” primarily to reach-out to the adults through schoolchildren by attracting them towards
environment conservation through Rainwater Harvesting and developing Bio-diversity Parks. This
system launched with just one couple (my wife and me) was so successful that during the pilot phase
(2000 – 2001) itself it attracted about 1200 couples.
. _ that Chief-Advertising & Mass Communication to Sahara India was my maiden assignment with a
huge exposure of handing large assignments at National Level including the very first Tele—Serial on
Social Issues, National & International Sports and to top it all in initiating formulation & practicing
various perspectives of conceiving CSR.
. _ Consultant-Information & Communications to UNICEF for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar was my maiden
structured assignment in the organized social sector from October 1990 – September 1993 and further
UNICEF hired me to facilitate Government of UP as Executive Consultant to the Director Information.
Post-UNICEF supported implementation of MMC-Plus, Government hired me as Technical Advisor,
and since then I am involved in the development process.
. _ that I had been decorated with ‘Nidhi Puraskar’ [1988] and ‘National Youth Award’ [1992] for
Academic and Creative contributions to the development process. Pt. Ravi Shankar and HE the
Governor of Uttar Pradesh presented these awards respectively.
. _ that while serving Bharti Telenet Ltd. as Advisor: Community Development in Delhi, associating
with Centre for Science and Environment, I had initiated the Rainwater Harvesting and with assistance
from IIT-Delhi, Waste Water Recycling Projects throughout South Delhi, major amongst them were
the Vasant Vihar A-Block Nalla Water Recycling, and many domestic RWH initiatives by individuals
during 2001 – 2002. The momentum prompted Delhi Government to incorporate RWH in its
Bhagidari Scheme. Ever since I have come back to Lucknow, got a team in place, got them trained
and certified by the State Ground Water Board to implement RWH and WWR projects in and around
the State of Uttar Pradesh.

The immense support through the span of over four decades enabled me to serve the thought that the Balancing of Natural Resources & Values viz; Health, Education, Environment, and Moral, Social, Sports & Cultural Values are the focus areas to fine-tune Human Development Index, and the Performance of individuals, institutions, and that of communities. Embedding these five elements [Panch-Tatva] into one’s performance and streamlining the resultant with economic [entrepreneurial / industrial] development, makes the Growth Process complete. The primary engine to drive these tools has been a self-devised AVID Approach. ‘AVID’ stands for ‘Action-centric Visual Implementation Dynamics’. , a rich experience based mental action platform]. It enables Project Teams conduct a pre-project diagnosis to evaluate viability. These proved to be innovative methodologies for conducting Social Research hands-on and in practicing CSR [Corporate Social Responsibility] based projects. Even the initial working on developing and maturing AVID Approach has enabled the State & the Central governments, and development sector revisit & revamp their respective approaches for the development process since 1991. On its launch during the fag-end of 90’s and beginning of the millennium, a lot more was done in the CSR, Social Mobilisation, Social Marketing, and Performance Growth domains. Yet another productive contribution through the series of AVID Tools was a well-researched and people-centric Communications Extension Methodology, ‘MMC-Plus’ [Mass Motivation & Convergence of Services, where the Plus factor enthuse the practice of people-mobilise-people]. Supported by UNICEF, this tool was adopted and launched by GoUP in 1991 as a State Programme to further the cause of information dissemination and good governance, especially in the rural areas as “Kisan Sewa Kendra”. [Irrespective of change-of-guards, this is still in regular practice. Tehsil & Thana Diwas are its offshoots]. Maintaining otherwise a low profile, Aditya has been fortunate to continue practicing his latest Social Research Tool, “Community Connect” and transform his understanding to evolve Change Tools to effectively foster Social Growth process based on CSR-centric Innovations and Social Marketing. Community Participation, Capacity Building including coaching & mentoring to develop Entrepreneurial Skills and Leadership & Sustainability Management are integrated in these tools. Having served the UN System through UNICEF & facilitating UNDP, DFID, Care-India, State Governments of UP & Bihar, and various National Programmes achieve their Objectivity-of-the- Purpose; he has authored a series of Development Tools and SMART2 Plans, which has changed the course of Policy framing and implementation across Development sector. Currently, he has been hired by the Ozone Cell, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change - GoI to facilitate authoring Green Guidelines for various sectors including Building & Construction, Sand Mining etc. The way to do it lies in his application of the AVID Approach, a mental-action-platform to view the third person’s perspective in igniting Individual and Social Responsibility amidst the individuals, institutions and communities. He feels rather proud to relate his career with one or the other form of communication. A Table in the next sheet briefly describes it.

  • 10. Page 10 of 15 ENDORSEMENTS BY VALUED CLIENTELE Annexure: C-Comments by a client Curriculum Vitae: Aditya Vidyasagar yREF:AV-PROFILE-2004 APEDA Agricultural and Processed Food Products Anil Swarup Export Development Authority Chairman Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India) TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN Working Experience with Aditya Vidyasagar Having seen the work of Aditya, one can say that he is innovative, dynamic, energetic, and has great capabilities to create assets and mobilize resources through his experience and training sessions. My working relationship with him dates back to mid-eighties when I was Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Lucknow. Aditya was the Executive Director of an advertising agency, which was assisting Lucknow Nagar Mahapalika. Besides other issues, stray cattle and encroachment were the two major civic concerns for the Municipal Corporation. He organized a Mass Campaign involving the beneficiaries and the functionaries on a common platform of understanding Civic Rights and Responsibilities towards each other. One got to see more of his capabilities when as Addl. Registrar of Co-operatives an awareness campaign was to be launched. He again proved his competence in managing a large campaign out of little funds available for the purpose without compromising on the output of the effort. After a gap of about five years, he was serving the Upper India Office of UNICEF as Consultant: Information & Communications. His services were utilized yet again. On this occasion, it was for multiple sensitizations drives on issues of social relevance including health, education, literacy, environment and all the state-run development programmes at the grass-root level throughout Uttar Pradesh. He, in 1981 had devised a Communication Extension Methodology based on dovetailing of available resources, 'MMC-Plus', which he proposed to UNICEF for implementation in UP through the Directorate of Information & PR. This proposal was not only accepted by the GoUP but was also supported by UNICEF. It was a novel concept of information dissemination and establishing a two-way flow of communications. The effort was enormously successful in terms of reaching out to the rural and semi-urban masses and in fostering the process of development. Here again he demonstrated his ability to adapt to the changing situation and learn from his own actions, and he revised the strategies accordingly during its three and half years run in the State. He came up with strategies like Coordination and Communication Committees right from Sub-divisional to State level. He personally visited and facilitated all the then 63 districts in preparing and implementing these plans. He also developed and conducted various workshops and training sessions for different levels of functionaries from as many as 34 partner organizations representing State and Central Government, Public, Private and NGO sectors. Such a mammoth task would have not been possible but for his co-ordination and managerial capabilities, creative skills and remarkable ability to build and work with teams. Later UNICEF hired him on institutional basis as Executive Consultant to the Director-Information; UP to continue facilitating partners in implementing his own product, 'MMC-Plus'. During my term as Executive Director, Udyog Bandhu in 1993, Aditya was an obvious choice to bring-in innovations to boost industrial development. He devised a corporate communications plan for industrial development in the State, including creation of Government-industry interactive opportunities, and developed events like InvestMart, The Top Ten Show and The Hall of Strengths. He was instrumental in fostering academic and business relations with federations, chambers, associations and trade fair organisers as part of the strategic plan for industrial development of the State. He handled co-ordination with organizations like CII, PHDCCI, FICCI, IIA, ITPO, WISITEX, and UNDP admirably well. Devising and implementing self-reliant promotional tools including business events, newsletter and video films, projecting investment opportunities was again a strength, which he developed hands-on during the course of assignments. With a highly motivated attitude and development-oriented mindset, Aditya, will prove to be an asset for any organization. All my good wishes are with him for success in his mission. Page 11 of 15 ENDORSEMENTS BY VALUED CLIENTELE ... contd Annexure: B-Comments by an employer Curriculum Vitae: Aditya Vidyasagar yREF:AV-PROFILE-2004 KS Vijay Kumar Vice President - HR, RFCL Former VP & HR Head - Bharti TeleNet Ltd., PepsiCo India Holdings and Pepsi Cola India Marketing Company (NEMU) D-173, Saket, New Delhi _ 110 017 Telephone: 011-4166 4340 Mobile: 0-98105-15737 E-mail: ksv2k@hotmail.com To whom it may concern This is to share my personal experience of hiring Mr. Aditya Vidyasagar for two of the organizations of repute, PepsiCo India Holdings and Bharti TeleNet, where we worked together for over two years. He was hired primarily to look after the Corporate Affairs Cell for UP and Uttaranchal by the UP Unit of PepsiCo India Holdings, headquartered at Lucknow. The assignment involved hectic touring all over the two States and the specific JD included balancing relationships with government, administration and functionaries of various public organizations to ensure smooth operations. He proved well in order of his personal background and professional competency and performed much more than just handling Corporate Affairs. His concrete contributions in the fields of strategic promotion and handling critical situations besides that from his primary role have been noteworthy. I am personally delighted to list some of his major achievements_ He took the initiatives to successfully break key-accounts, handle critical issues related to S&D including revival of major accounts and settlement of pending issues. He brought-in PR innovations in aligning prestigious accounts with much respect. He has also taken initiatives in using his electronic and print media relations remarkably well in handling and managing news during a major crisis, which was being faced by the Company at that point of time. He proved his communications skills extremely well in strengthening relations with relevant departments, officials and functionaries. His approach to do so was very innovative and fruitful. He facilitated them in formulating various social development projects. The most prominent amongst these projects was the Magh Mela Advertising Revenue Generation Plan for the District Administration of Allahabad. His negotiations, in barter of this service, to bag 80% free of the ad-space PepsiCo hired in this event of dominant influence, which I later got to learn, is regarded as world number two mass event, was amazingly interesting. He has been successful in preparing strategic plans and getting them implemented aptly to boost shares and market base. The Army Garrison accounts spread over Allahabad, Kanpur and Bareilly and La Martiniere Girls' College accounts are the two amongst the major ones bagged by PepsiCo through his innovative approach. At his primary role of Corporate Affairs, he has streamlined and aligned departments, officials at the State level with a proper networking at all PepsiCo locations in UP and Uttaranchal. This proved to be a job- efficient and cost effective methodology. This approach has not only saved enough time for him to render his skills into other aforementioned spheres but has also provided a fillip to the respect and regards of our relations with the concerned and competent authorities. At Bharti TeleNet, he was hired to float and Head the Community Development Division. The basic responsibility was to streamline the Corporate Social Responsibility for the Company. Here again he proved his Social Development skills, his major forte. His quick-result approach of having segmented Delhi into Industrial, Commercial, Residential, and then picking up projects to suit the communities in the three sectors proved very fruitful in terms of gaining highly creditable relations with the potential consumers of our Basic Telephony in Delhi. His concern for the underground water depletion in Delhi was noticeable. He has been a guiding force in Rainwater Harvesting and Water-recycling projects, the communities undertaken during his stay with us at Bharti. His efforts facilitated the Marketing, Sales and Project teams in accomplishing their tasks smoothly and in earning a respectful image for the company. His very productive working relationships with Industrial, Social, Media bodies, and his rich experience of devising, managing, implementing development projects and business promotion events, I feel, will come very handy for any organization he serves. I wish him great success in all his endeavours. (Signed) KS VIJAY KUMAR (Currently Mr. Vijay Kumar is the MD at FlexyManagers & Chief Solutions Officer at the Interim Management Solutions India Pvt. Page 15 of 15 Self-Statement elaborating expertise in Social Sector with emphasis on CSR Initiatives, Community Mobilisation & Management of Natural Resources especially, Greens & Water TO WHOSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN This is to state that I, Aditya Vidyasagar s/o Late Sri GP Khare resident of C – 375, Sector B1, Mahanagar, Lucknow _ 226 006 do confirm the following _ . _ that the journey with the social sector commenced since the school time, the appreciation through the award of Raja Ranajay Singh Social Service Trophy consecutively for three years (1974-77) evoked an interest enough in me to devise a Communication Extension Methodology, “MMC-Plus”. It stands for Mass Motivation & Convergence [of services], where the ‘Plus’ factor played the role of people mobilizing people in a progressive manner. It was an outcome of my stint with social service advertising in 1981 during the Test-run of a rural product for PCDF [The ‘Parag Milk & Butter’ people]. It was matured through research-oriented implementation in six different segments of the rural & urban areas spread over the entire State of Uttar Pradesh. The Methodology and its Application concepts were matured at the field level through various public-delivery organisations in Government, Corporate and Social sector organisations. Later the Methodology was adopted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and was supported by UNICEF for state-wide promotion of the Participatory Development Process in 1991. It was successful to the extent of evolving a social system of governance introduced by the Government as “Kisan Sewa Kendra” the same year. It also resulted into declining the load on our Judiciary as well. . _ that in the year 1973, I entered into the circuit of creative professionals as a producer of a Radio Jingle, and during the decades of 80’s & 90’s, I have been actively associated, and served various Government, Non-Government, Public, Private and Corporate sector organizations, departments and societies. Major amongst them include; Awadh Ads, Sahara India, Unicef, Department of Industrial Development, UP Pollution Control Board, Directorate of Environment, Worldwide Fund for Nature in India, Department of Women and Child Development (GoI & GoUP), Hariyali (a prominent NGO for Environment Conservation), Centre for Environment Education. . _ that I had devised yet another Environment Conservation and Promotion System, “Worldwide Social” primarily to reach-out to the adults through schoolchildren by attracting them towards environment conservation through Rainwater Harvesting and developing Bio-diversity Parks. This system launched with just one couple (my wife and me) was so successful that during the pilot phase (2000 – 2001) itself it attracted about 1200 couples. . _ that Chief-Advertising & Mass Communication to Sahara India was my maiden assignment with a huge exposure of handing large assignments at National Level including the very first Tele—Serial on Social Issues, National & International Sports and to top it all in initiating formulation & practicing various perspectives of conceiving CSR. . _ Consultant-Information & Communications to UNICEF for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar was my maiden structured assignment in the organized social sector from October 1990 – September 1993 and further UNICEF hired me to facilitate Government of UP as Executive Consultant to the Director Information. Post-UNICEF supported implementation of MMC-Plus, Government hired me as Technical Advisor, and since then I am involved in the development process. . _ that I had been decorated with ‘Nidhi Puraskar’ [1988] and ‘National Youth Award’ [1992] for Academic and Creative contributions to the development process. Pt. Ravi Shankar and HE the Governor of Uttar Pradesh presented these awards respectively. . _ that while serving Bharti Telenet Ltd. as Advisor: Community Development in Delhi, associating with Centre for Science and Environment, I had initiated the Rainwater Harvesting and with assistance from IIT-Delhi, Waste Water Recycling Projects throughout South Delhi, major amongst them were the Vasant Vihar A-Block Nalla Water Recycling, and many domestic RWH initiatives by individuals during 2001 – 2002. The momentum prompted Delhi Government to incorporate RWH in its Bhagidari Scheme. Ever since I have come back to Lucknow, got a team in place, got them trained and certified by the State Ground Water Board to implement RWH and WWR projects in and around the State of Uttar Pradesh.
