PAST….

WINNER!!!

6. SOME BASIC RULES FOR
THE PAST TENSE
• Regular verbs:
Subject + verb_ED
Example: I played squash.
• Irregular verbs:
Subject + verb (2ª column in the
irregular verb list).
Example: I won the match.

7. PAST: NEGATIVE FORM.
• REGULAR VERBS:
Subject+ did not/ didn´t + base form
Ex: I didn´t play football. I played
squash.
• IRREGULAR VERBS:
Subject+ did not/ didn´t + base form
Ex: I didn´t go to Rome. I went to
Germany.

8. PAST: INTERROGATIVE FORM.
• REGULAR VERBS:
Did+ subject+ base form?
Ex: did you play tennis?
• IRREGULAR VERBS:
Did+subject+ base form?
Ex: Did you go to London?
