               Porous Pavement at Dunbar Association

  1. Improved ammonia removal at Metro has resulted in lower inputs to the lake. Concentrations are decreasing and remain at safe levels for even sensitive aquatic organisms as shown in the graph below
  2. This low discharge has resulted in very low levels in the lake as shown below. Dissolved oxygen has increased, algal blooms are diminishing. Improved water clarity has allowed the beds of aquatic plants to expand, providing improved nesting and nursery habitat for warm-water fish.
