1. Happy Holidays! We have had a fun year, and hope you have, too. The kids are growing by
leaps and bounds! Hunter is a reading champion, and Rebecca will count anything you need
tallied. The two of them make quite the pair. Unless, of course, Hunter is watching any
number of football, baseball, or hockey games. Then Rebecca begins her rounds!
Beck is always wonderfully Busy! She loves puzzles, coloring,
singing, dancing, and reading books. She is a wonderful dinner
companion, and loves eating delicious dishes with Mom and
Dad. Mommy was almost sorry when Beck reached kids’ movie
room status when we eat out, where the kids play while the
grown-ups eat. Beck is happy that she gets to go to the big kids’
room now, and Mommy somehow managed to adjust to an
adults-only meal. Beck also loves to play with her brother and
the neighborhood crowd, she’s no wallflower!
We all enjoyed Hunt and Beck’s first plane ride to Florida this spring for
vacation. Sun, fun, and mini-golf! The kids practiced swimming in the
pool and in the ocean, and sampled local playgrounds. We went to the
beach, saw sting rays, and played in the sand. We also went to a Phillies
game in Clearwater! Play Ball!
Everyone enjoyed time at the pool this summer. Michael joined us after
golf, and Mommy caught up on her reading. Hunter began swimming
without his vest, and Beck showed off her cannonball skills! She even
went underwater with her vest, and would pop up like a little cork. Cute!
We went on a fun trip to Treasure Lake with family, campfires, s’mores, and
Star Wars! We took a quick swim in the lake, played with bubble machines,
and checked out a helicopter. It rained a bit, so we worked on puzzles, too.
Hunter not only played a stellar season of T-Ball this spring with Coach Mike,
he also played an exciting season of flag-football with Coach Mike. He’s now
looking forward to basketball with Coach Mike, are you sensing a trend here?
Hunter loves following the scores of games, and is telling time by how long it
will be until kick-off.
Hunter is enjoying Kindergarten and riding the bus to school with all of his
neighborhood buddies. We went on a fun class trip this fall to an Orchard,
where we learned how to pick apples, watched climbing goats, and went on
a hayride! We also went to Fall Fest with Mimi where we enjoyed bean bag
tosses, games, dinner, and another hayride!
Halloween was snowy in the ‘hood this year! But it was warm enough for an
extra-long walk for Yoda and Obi-Wan, which is a good thing since we are
using the loot that Beck sweet-talked out of her unsuspecting victims to
decorate gingerbread houses next week.
We are looking forward to a relaxing Holiday season, after a successful
Thanksgiving feast, the preparation of which Ashley has down to
a veritable science. We are settling in for a wonderful winter!
Wishing you the Happiest of
Holidays, and a Joyful New
Year!
