  2. 2.  Food and beverage industry faces many issues and challenges. Here we will put limelight on issues regarding food in service industry.  Food is the most vital part in whole service industry, major business of service deals with this only.  They are certain factors which should be considered in industry regarding food.Various issues have been discussed in above slides.
  3. 3.  Consumer wants choices & the food in industry as a whole is prepared in respectively to consumer demand.  Consumer demand convince and are willing to pay more for it.
  4. 4.  Certain basic concerns which now days consumers have are- o Hygiene o Variety o Taste o Healthy food o Fresh food o Less time consuming o Well served
  5. 5.  Its derisive slang for fast food, i.e little nutritional value and often high fat, sugar, salt & calories.  It includes snack food, hamburgers, pizza etc.  Junk food depending on ingredients & preparation methods.  More highly processed item usually fall under the junk food category.
  6. 6.  Junk food becoming a issue now days especially for youngsters.They prefer junk food more over nutritional food because its cheap, easily available, on the go food.  While on other hand people are getting concious too for their health and they opposing junk food & prefering organic and natural food.  Junk food leads to obesity & several other heart deseases, so people should eat junk food in certain limit.
  7. 7.  There exists a complex relationship betweenrefle food & health.  A diet of a person reflects its health. Now days customers focus more on healthy food rather than just any delicious food. Foods like fruits, juices, salads etc.  In making more better-for-you foods that can easily be incorporated into daily diets companies are seeding environment in which consumers can learn a “new normal” a new way to eat for a lifetime.
  8. 8.  Specific food & beverage companies are also taking individual action to address consumers health & wellness through product, policies & programs  Some are reformulating products to reduce calories, trans fats & sugar, lower cholesterol &vitamins and preserve taste, aroma & mouth feel
  9. 9.  Now days consumers wants variety of food in less time & preferably it should be healthy.  Junk food is fast but not that good for health but it depends sometimes its good also.  But people now days getting more conscious regarding their health and prefer notorious food more over junk food. it’s a healthy practice to do so.
  10. 10.  Certain food and beverage industries finding out the to overcome a notorious value by a delicious way to meet consumer wants.
