2. Spring Market Is Early and Hot!
Entering into 2022, many in the real estate
industry thought that the spring housing market,
the industry's peak season, would be a bit less
frenzied this year. The spring housing market last
year saw over 70% of home listings in a bidding
competition. So this spring should begin a return
to normal, right?
That conventional wisdom has shifted. Not only
does the spring housing market look like it'll be
hot, there's a chance this will be the hottest
spring homebuying season ever in Georgia.
3. Home Sales In February Jumped

Homes sold in February jumped over 12% from January and
pending home sales jumped 7.5% in the same period. A good
sign that the spring market will be active.

9. In the long term, rising mortgage
rates could slow down the housing
market. But the short-term impact
can be the opposite: Worried that
rates will continue to shoot up,
more homebuyers are jumping
into the market.
10. New Home Construction 2022 Forecast
"All indications point towards another year of high demand and low inventory for new
homes in Georgia. What once was a spec home market has now become a presale market
so buyers need to be prepared to go through the build process.
With continued supply chain issues new construction can understandably be a challenging
experience for homebuyers, however buying new has many advantages in this competitive
sellers market. Homeowners who work with Real Estate professionals, like those at Berkshire
Hathaway HomeServices, are able to make the new home buying process a positive and
successful experience. We expect it to be another strong year in new construction.”
