very windy with winds that blow between 30 and
60 miles per hour.

ï The Arctic Tundra is important because there is
Penguin and Seals living there and they can be
effected by the Arctic Tundra because its where
they live and reproduce . The Arctic Tundra is
important because it effects the green house effect
by letting the carbon being released because it
melts in the summer and goes into the
atmosphere into the blanket of pollution which is
in the sky.
5. What threatens the arctic Tundra
The threats of the Arctic Tundra is a huge reservoir
of oil and uranium . This is because many
countries are exploring for oil in part of the Arctic
Tundra . This can damage the balance of the
Tundra ecosystem. An other threat is that about a
third of the world`s soil bound carbon which is
found in the Arctic Tundra . In the summer when
the permafrost melts the carbon gets released in to
the atmosphere which adds to the green house
effect . More permafrost melts each year.
