“The invention relates to a self destructive irreversible security packaging water soluble film and a method for manufacturing the same. The water soluble packaging film is embedded with various security elements, which will get destroyed irreversibly upon final usage,as the whole package along with its contents will dissolve in water. This process of self destruction will control the duplication of the package or alteration of the product inside the package.”
Branded Agrochemicals can be packed in these water soluble pouches embedded with security features. These security features may be overt or covert to naked eye. Proposed security features, in one year can be continued or changed, in the next season, so as to keep fraudsters at bay.

The security feature can be machine readable or embedded within a printing indicia as well and the same can be checked at all outgoing points, like at factory, at wholesaler’s warehouse, at retail outlets or even at farmer’s end (before it has been used).
Unlike other types of security features like Hologram or colour changing inks applied on packages, Arrow’s solution is more unique as it is an irreversible security packaging system. Example, in a branded Ink Jet Machine cartridge, the package outside has a security hologram or colour shift security ink, but once the package has been opened to use the cartridge, the package itself becomes vulnerable to duplication.
Security films are available in both roll form & pouch. The addition in cost for adding these security feature(s) can vary anywhere between 2% to 5% depending upon the complexity of the security feature demanded.
