The document provides details on a proposed urban design project in Irgah Valley, Riyadh. It includes an introduction describing the importance of the site and existing urban problems. The document then outlines the urban design process, including data collection, master planning, and design details. Goals and objectives are identified as improving aesthetics, sustainability, economic value, and connectivity. Analysis includes the location, climate, population, and existing land uses. The proposed master plan includes land uses, building densities, and a movement framework. Alternatives are evaluated and the optimal design is selected.

Introduction
:
The importance of the site drives from being linked with king Abdullah Road ,
As well as its proximity to KSU , DQ , Historical Irgah city . In addition The site
is characterized by the natural features of wadi Hanifa . During the initial
survey of the study area it’s noticed that there are urban problems such as
random planning , the absence of regulations in addition to the incomplete
facilities . There for . It’s most important to establish a clear vision to the
development of the area based on comprehensive urban design process .

Opportunities and Constraints :
Opportunities Constraints
Visual link to Old Irgah Built buildings
Physical Link to the surrounding Hnifa Land prices
valley
Rise the commercial use in the area Hot weather of Riyadh city
Suitable area for recreational use The possibility of reducing the privacy
of the residential areas
Physical Link to the current residential
area
B- Using zero emission transportation :
Gathering the governmental uses
The transportation for the developed area should not be producing CO2 . The area users
will using electrical buses , moving walkway , bikes ,
Creating new character to the area
Urban design principles and consideration :
1- sustainability :
A- Using Solar power to generate electricity :
all buildings will be covered with solar panels & using
the new transparent solar technology in windows
which directed to the sun
2- safety :
Using a safe movement system which solve the issues of the pedestrian ,
handy caps , bikers and vehicles interaction . By separated lanes . Speed
reduction , cross lines elements , etc.
3- Social:
A- Maintain privacy
B – linked community
B- Water treatment & reuse :
All the buildings will have water treatment systems
Development of project program :
which will filter & reuse the gray
water in toilets or in plantation then send the black usage Cultural Public Commercial Hotel Office Hosing Theme park Square Parking lots Roads Green Water Etc.
