B. Review
Now, let us have a short
review about what we have
discussed last time. Who would
like to remind us?
That’s right! Do you have
any questions or clarifications
regarding our last topic?
If none, then let us proceed
to our lesson for today.
C. Motivation
Now ,we will be having a game.Who
among you here are watching
showtime?
Do you know the game there called
Ma’am last time we discussed about
the different teaching strategies.
None Ma’am.
Me ! (The students will answer)
ansabe?
So, I need two volunteers from this
group ,and this group.
For the two of you here is the
direction:
You will need to tell what word is
being said by the person ,but you will
not hear any sound from his/her.
You will choose in these 3 categories
of words, and you will be given 5
mins. To answer the words that you
can in the end ,the one who will
guess more words will be declared
as winner and will have a price ,Is
that clear?
So let’s start who will be the first to
guess? Lets have a
rock,paper,Scissors game .
Ok, Lets start with you Juan, you
have 5 mins. to guess the words .
Timer starts now.
Very good Juan ,you answered 3
words
Ana ,its your turn, the timer starts
now
Very good Ana you answered all in 4
mins.
So, the winner is Ana let us give her
3 claps.
Ok, here’s your price Ana
So , class what did you notice ?
There is an interaction in the game.
D. Lesson Proper
As we live in this world, we
can’t avoid interacting with other
people. Interacting with people
comes in different strategies, and
these strategies will be very
Yes Ma’am.
(The children will volunteer)
Yes Ma’am.
(The first one to get a 3 pts will play
next to looser)
(Student will guess the words in 5
mins.)
(Ana will start guessing)
useful in our profession.
Becoming a teacher doesn’t
mean that you should just teach
your students and that’s it.
It is very important to initiate
the interaction inside the
classroom am I right?
And that will be our lesson for
today.
Before anything else, in order
for us to understand more what
interactive teaching is, let us first
define what interaction means.
Interaction, when you hear
this word what comes first in your
mind?
All of your answers are
correct!
Miss, go to the window and
look outside. What can you see?
Thank you, please take your
seat.
As you have said earlier,
when you hear the word
interaction, you are thinking of the
word communicating, socializing
etc. Now take a look again
outside, can you see a group of
people there?
Do you think that there’s an
Yes Ma’am.
Socialize
Communicate
Talk to one another
I can see trees, clouds and
people walking around Ma’am.
I do Ma’am.
interaction between them?
How do you say so?
Correct!
Interaction is a kind of action
that occurs as two or more
objects have an effect upon one
another.
Well, if there is only one
person involve, can you say that
there’s an interaction?
Interaction is the collaborative
exchange of thoughts, feelings, or
ideas between two or more
people, resulting in a reciprocal
effect on each other.
We send messages, we
receive them, we interpret them in
a context, we negotiate
meanings, and we collaborate to
accomplish certain purposes.
Do you understand?
Now let’s proceed to the
Interactive principles.
There are 7 interactive
principles, let’s name them one
by one. First is:
Automaticity: focus on
meaning and message instead of
grammar and other linguistic
forms.
Yes Ma’am.
Because they are talking to
each other, and you can interact
by means of communication with
other people.
None Ma’am.
Yes Ma’am.
2. Intrinsic motivation: self-reward
system.
3. Strategic investment: make
repairs.
4. Risk-taking: required.
5. The language-culture
connection: culture nuances of
language.
6. Interlanguage: unavoidable
errors
7. Communicative competence:
grammatical, discourse,
sociolinguistic, pragmatic, and
strategic competence.
Those are the interactive
principles. Are there any
questions or clarifications
regarding the topic?
You as a future teacher, you
should ensure that there’s an
interaction between you and your
students In order for them to learn
better.
And how would you do that?
Any idea?
Excellent. You should be an
interactive teacher in order for
you to ensure that your students
are learning from you.
What is an interactive teacher
anyway?
None Ma’am.
You should be an interactive
teacher Ma’am.
Very good. The success of
classroom learning is very much
dependent on how students relate
to each other, what the classroom
environment is, how effectively
students cooperate and
communicate with each other,
and what roles the teacher and
learners play.
In order for you to achieve of
becoming an interactive teacher
you should first know the roles.
There are 5 roles of an
interactive teacher. What is the
first one?
Master controllers determine
what the students do, when they
should speak, and what language
forms they should use. The
teacher is in complete charge of
the class, what students do, what
they say and how they say it. The
teacher assumes this role when
new language is being introduced
and accurate reproduction and
drilling techniques are needed.
Is that clear?
Ok let’s procede. The next
one?
Some interactive classroom
time can legitimately be
structured in such a way the
An interactive teacher is one
that is fully aware of the group
dynamics of a classroom.
Roles of an interactive
teacher as a controller.
Yes Ma’am.
Roles of interactive teacher
as a director.
teacher is like a conductor of an
orchestra or a director of drama.
The third one?
This metaphor captures your
role as one who plans lesson,
modules, and courses, and who
structures the larger, longer
segments of classroom time, but
who then allows each individual
player to be creative within those
parameters.
Next one?
The teacher helps students to
clear away roadblocks, to find
short cut, to negotiate rough
terrain. With teachers guidance
and gentle prodding, to find
student own pathway to success.
And the last one?
The teachers available for
advice and counsel when student
seek it.
Are there any questions
regarding our topic for today?
E. Generalization
“Now, class, let’s remember
that interaction is a kind of action
that occurs as two or more
objects have an effect upon one

a manager.

a facilitator.

a resource.

another.
Also remember that there are 5
roles of an interactive teacher and
7 interactive principles, can you
give me one principle?
F. Application
Group Activity: Make a short
presentation depicting different
situations. Later on you will present what
you’ve done. I will give you 5-8 mins to
practice but before that ,I will group you
into 4 ok , lets count.
Ok all group 1 stay here, group 2 stay
there, and so on and so forth...
Here are the scenerios :
Group 1: You and your friends are in a
concert.
Group 2: You are lost when you meet a
group of friends having fun on the road.
Group 3: A famous actress visited your
village.
Group 4: Your teacher informed you
about your failing marks.
Ok time is up now lets see your
presentations . Lets start from group 1.
(students will answer)
(The students will count off)
Group 1 will present up to group 4
