4. What To do… Step 1: Choose a book to read to the class Step 2: Give a brief summary to the class Step 3: Introduce the puppets/characters of the story Step 4: Create voices for the puppets Step 5: Design puppet area Step 6: Read the book out loud while using puppets
5. After the Story… Place the students in groups (depending on characters in the story) Assign characters from the story to the students Show students how to make paper bag puppets Facilitate while students make their designated puppets Let students create their own voices for their characters
