Mobile Network
• Three major MSO finally started IPv6
operation in 2017
- Initially, new model smartphone that released
since this summer only can use IPv6 network.
- They’ve covered most mobile users, so IPv6
users will increase with the passing of time.
• MVNO, Public WiFi Service doesn’t even
have a sign to start IPv6 service

• IPv6 promotion study group
- The study group was established on 2007,
since then it has published some report.
• 1st Report (2008.6.17 published)
• Government have to formulate guidelines for
IPv6 adoption.
• 2nd Report (2010.3.22 published)
• Government and each player have to minimize
confusion caused by exhaustion of IPv4 address
in end users and corporate users
• 3rd Report (2012.7.31 published)
• Government and each player need various
efforts to expand IPv6 usage.

• The latest study report
- published on Jan 26, 2016
- This report mentions the importance of
IPv6 toward the IoT era. And also the
report describes that Mobile Carrier and
MVNO will start default IPv6 service until
