7. IPv6 deployment
Network Operators
 Under government’s requirements and guidance
 Upgrade their backbone network, hundred of MAN networks of
many provinces to support IPv6
 Upgrade their Data Centers
where there are massive CP/SPs
 Upgrade their business
platform and OSS
 The IPv6 end users have
reached 10 million
IPv6 enabled network(15.38%)

8. IPv6 deployment
 Chinese government issued "Opinions on Promoting the
Deployment and Application of IPV6 in LTE.“, to accelerate the
commercial use of IPv6 on the mobile Internet
• ensuring new LTE networks support IPV6
• ensuring VoLTE adopts IPV6, promoting adoption of mobile IPV6
businesses in CDN business, pushing mobile Internet applications
with wide coverage to adopt IPV6
 The government is promoting the network and website/application
transformation process and promote the construction of next-
generation Internet demonstration cities since 2014

9. Domain Name System Upgrade Project
•Reformed and upgraded authoritative servers to
support IPv6 for dozens of .CN & .中国 registrars
•Constructed public authoritative delegation
hosting service and emergency backup platform
supporting IPv4/IPv6 (seamless delegation service)
•Upgraded recursive servers to IPv6 for dozens of ISPs
•Constructed public recursive delegation platform
to facilitate ISPs to provider IPv6 access to end users
•10 of the 13 roots of domain name
system are IPv6 enabled
•Chinese ccTLD（.CN）has supported IPv6 since 2004
