- This visualization represents a macroscopic snapshot of IPv4 and IPv6 Internet topology samples captured in 2014. The plot illustrates both the extensive geographical scope as well as rich interconnectivity of nodes participating in the global Internet routing system.
- Big players like Facebook and Google are already IPv6 ready. Recent figures released by Google indicate that as at 17 May, 6.8% of Internet traffic flowing to Google was over IPv6. Data released by the World IPv6 Launch measured global adoption of IPv6 at around 4.5%.
- A good way to measure global IPv6 readiness is to analyse the BGP routing table and measure the IPv6 enablement of transit Autonomous systems A transit AS is an As that gives transit services to another AS on both IPv4 and IPv6 networks A IPv6 enabled transit AS is an AS that is transit on an IPv4 network and has as IPv6 prefix but is not necessarily transit on an IPv6 network

Has a youthful and literate population that is “hyper engaged” with mobile Unique mobile subscriber growth has averaged 6% growth over the last 3 years. Philippines has fastest growing Internet population in the world, rising from 6% in 2008 to 37% in 2013. 60% of investment in the last two years has been in the Internet and mobile sectors.
