Allocate different categories to different types of measurements. View and print certain types of dimensions and leave others hidden. eg, view and print piling foundations but hide pilings or view carpet measurements and hide vinyl flooring

1. Categories
In thisexample we will create different flooringcategories fordifferenttypesof rooms.
To create a new category,clickthe File tabinthe top leftcornerof the screenandselectManage
Categories
Two listsare pre-loadedtohelpyou. Clickingoneitherof themwillimporteverythingfromthatlist
intoQuickScale. See the nexttwoscreenshotsfordetailsof whatisonthese lists.

2. SMM7 list: NRM2 list:
To create your ownlistclickon Create New CategoryList
Enter the categoryname and clickOK

3. ClickAddItemto List
Type in the differenttypesof flooring,one ata time andclickOK aftereach one.
ClickSave CurrentList,
thenClose

4. To importthislistintoQuickScale,clickFile, OpenCategoryandclickonthe listname.
ThenclickOpen
If you clickon the Viewtab,youwill see the categoriesinVisible Categories

5. To allocate a categoryto an area,selectthe requiredmeasurementinthe Dimensionspane.
Under Category, clickonthe downarrow and selectthe flooringtype.
To see one type of flooringonthe drawingand hide everythingelse,onthe ViewtabinVisible
Categories,uncheckeverythingexceptcarpet.Youwill onlysee the carpetmeasurementsonthe
drawing.

6. To exportthose dimensionsonlytoaspreadsheet,clickonExportDimensiononthe Home tab,
(clickonthe downarrow) and selectExportVisible.
