How would your magazine be advertised? How
are similar magazines advertised and where are
they sold?

Advertising
For the advertising of my
product I don't think television
would be appropriate because
usual magazines advertised in
this way are for weekly/monthly
collectors magazines. My
music magazine may be more
appropriately advertised on
perhaps a billboard or poster.
Social Networking
I would also create a Facebook page and a website so people
can follow, support and advertise the product by sharing stories,
images and links with friends the spread the product. Social
networking is also a good method of advertising because some
of the younger members of my audience typically spend a lot of
time on the facebook, twitter and tumblr. This is why I have put
on a bottom band on my cover a link to the facebook page.
Not only would my product be available
in shops and newsagents, it would
possible for them to subscribe and get a
monthly/weekly order sent to their
house and to encourage this there
would be special offers available,
leaflets inside, and small free things with
it. Along with the subscription they could
receive emails of offers and exclusive
access to stories...
