Vocational centre provides vocational educational, is education that prepares people to work in a trade, a craft, as a technician, or in support
roles in professions such as engineering, accountancy, nursing, medicine, architecture, or law. Vocational education & skill development both go
hand in hand and are interrelated to each other Vocational education consists basically of practical courses through which one gains skills and
experience directly linked to a career in future.

WHY I CHOOSE THIS TOPIC
To enhance the skills of population of region by providing them a basic
education.
1-To study about the need of vocational education in India.
2-To study about government policy and initiatives for
vocational education.
3-To design an architectural solution for rural to develop
skills.
In India there are so many peoples who learn there earning techniques or mastership through practical knowledge by watching somebody
who is the doing same. They dont take any education by going any institute or taking any course. Because of this they learn wrong practices
and take more time to learn

FEASIBILITYAND SCOPE
As the project caters all the basic needs and necessities of the
development of the people of arear around theKhurja. There are very
less no of other vocational centre nearby khurja town.
As the khurja is surrounded by so many rural areas like dhakar,
usampur etc , this will be the best place forbuilding a training centre to
train rural people and teachthem skills.

National Vocational Training Institute is the training institute only for
women. The intitute was established by Ministery of Labour and
Employment 1977.

vocational training of women in areas having wage/self employability;
thereby increasing women’s participation in economic & social
development of the country.

1- Institute is located in Noida , has no elecricity issue and have its own Diesel Generator incase of power efficiency.
2- For water supply it has its own overhead tank that stores water from minicipality and supply it in whole institute.

1- As this vocational institute id for only girls. They have provided hostel facility for all the students at very
convenient fees because its an government institute.
2- They are two types of courses are there short and long term.
3- For both worshops are there, one classroom for each course 15x10m.

community
building in Sra Pou village, Cambodia. The school is designed by
Architects
Rudanko + Kankkunen from Finland and built during spring 2011.

To encourage and teach poor families to earn their own living.

The purpose of the vocational training centre is to encourage
and teach poor families to earn their own living. The Sra Pou
community is one of the unprivileged communities in
Cambodia, who have been evicted from their homes in the city
to the surrounding countryside. They lack basic infrastructure,
decent built environment and secure income. The new
vocational school provides professional training and helps the
people to start sustainable businesses together. It is also a place
for public gathering and democratic decision-making for the
whole community. The Cambodian NGO Blue Tent organizes
the teaching
The goals of the design project were to use the local workforce
and local materials for this low-budget intervention ($15,000
USD)

Vocational centre provides vocational educational, is education that prepares people to work in a trade, a craft, as a technician, or in support roles in professions such as engineering, accountancy, nursing, medicine, architecture, or law. Vocational education & skill development both go hand in hand and are interrelated to each other Vocational education consists basically of practical courses through which one gains skills and experience directly linked to a career in future. INTRODUCTION WHY I CHOOSE THIS TOPIC To enhance the skills of population of region by providing them a basic education. 1-To study about the need of vocational education in India. 2-To study about government policy and initiatives for vocational education. 3-To design an architectural solution for rural to develop skills. In India there are so many peoples who learn there earning techniques or mastership through practical knowledge by watching somebody who is the doing same. There are very less no of other vocational centre nearby khurja town. As the khurja is surrounded by so many rural areas like dhakar, usampur etc , this will be the best place forbuilding a training centre to train rural people and teachthem skills. To provide scientific industrial research and development in the area of glass, ceramics and related materials that maximizes the economic, environmental and societal benefit for the people of India . AIM CASESTUDY 4

OBJECTIVES 1- To carry out basic and applied research in the fields of glass, ceramics, refractories, vitreous enamels, composites and allied materials that can be developed into appropriate technologies relevant to the country's security, economic, industrial and socio-economic needs. 2- To undertake advanced R&D projects which are internationally competitive and public-private partnership projects sponsored by private/public sector enterprises. 3- To provide technical advisory and infra-structural services like project engineering, testing & evaluation, training & education and dissemination of scientific information to the public domain. MERITS VISION Large and spacious conference hall. (80 Seats) Provision of design centre for experiments. Ample space of parking. (20 bikes, 5 cars) DEMERITS No provision for classroom. Small in size and has no land for horizontal expansion Enduring innovation in science & technology of materials to attain the status of an ultimate centre of excellence in glass and ceramics technology.   • 15. CASE STUDY 2 LOCATION National Vocational Training Institute is the training institute only for women. The intitute was established by Ministery of Labour and Employment 1977. N.V.T.I NOIDA WHAT IS N.V.T.I ? HOW TO REACH ? 1- Planning, designing, executing and pursuing long-term policies for vocational training of women in areas having wage/self employability; thereby increasing women’s participation in economic & social development of the country. 2- Drawing plans and schemes for promoting participation of women in vocational training. AIM & OBJECTIVES CASESTUDY 9

SERVICES 1- Institute is located in Noida , has no elecricity issue and have its own Diesel Generator incase of power efficiency. 2- For water supply it has its own overhead tank that stores water from minicipality and supply it in whole institute. They have provided hostel facility for all the students at very convenient fees because its an government institute. 2- They are two types of courses are there short and long term. 3- For both worshops are there, one classroom for each course 15x10m.   • 19. LITERATURE STUDY LOCATION Sra Pou Vocational School is a vocational training center and community building in Sra Pou village, Cambodia. The school is designed by Architects Rudanko + Kankkunen from Finland and built during spring 2011. S.P.V.S CAMBODIA WHAT IS S.P.V.S ? To encourage and teach poor families to earn their own living. AIM LITERATURE STUDY 13
  • 20. The purpose of the vocational training centre is to encourage and teach poor families to earn their own living. The Sra Pou community is one of the unprivileged communities in Cambodia, who have been evicted from their homes in the city to the surrounding countryside. They lack basic infrastructure, decent built environment and secure income. The new vocational school provides professional training and helps the people to start sustainable businesses together. It is also a place for public gathering and democratic decision-making for the whole community.
