Chloroplast are cell organelles,
specialized subunits in plants.
Their main role is to conduct
photosynthesis.
A pigment called chlorophyll
present in the chloroplast.
Where the photosynthetic pigments
chlorophylls capture the energy
from sun light.

such as chlorophyll a , chlorophyll b
and so on.
Chlorophyll a is bluish green while
chlorophyll b is yellowish green in
colour .
There are other pigments also which
give colour to leaves.
Yellow coloured xanthophyll and
yellowish orange coloured carotene

grana of chloroplast , occur in the
presence of light.
The dark reaction is take place in the
stroma of the chloroplast.
