What is Inclusion Body Myositis?
Source:
http://feelgoodtime.net/what-is-inclusion-body-myosit
• Inclusion Body Myositis is a disease that
involves inflammation of muscles at the level
of one or more muscles. Weakness, swelling
and pain are the most common symptoms of
myositis. It is common occurrence in people
after a long time suddenly loaded muscles
followed by periods of high inflammation,
including pain. It may take several days to
treat inclusion body myositis.
Inclusion Body Myositis Causes
• Inclusion body myositis is caused by conditions that lead to the inflammation process in the muscles. These are:
• injury
• infection,
• autoimmune diseases
• undesirable properties of drugs
• Diseases involving inflammatory changes can affect the muscles causing myositis. Many of these diseases are a
group of autoimmune diseases, when the body produces harmful antibodies that destroy body tissue.
Inflammatory diseases that could potentially cause serious forms of myositis are dermatomyositis,
polymyositis. Milder forms of myositis caused by systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, rheumatoid
arthritis. These diseases are often the most serious causes of myositis and require prolonged
treatment. Treatment depends on the cause of inclusion body myositis.
• Inclusion Body Myositis caused by infection
• iral infections are the most common infections that cause myositis. Viruses or bacteria can directly invade tissue or
emit substances that deplete the muscle fibers. Colds or influenza viruses as well as HIV can cause myositis.
• Inclusion Body Myositis caused by drugs
• Various drugs can cause temporary muscle damage in the form of myositis. Myositis sometimes be replaced with
myopathy, due to inflammation of the muscles is often not identified at the time.
• It can occur shortly after the use of a particular drug or a few months or years of drug use. Myositis caused by
drugs is rarely a cause for greater concern. Substances that cause myositis as statins, colchicine, alpha-interferon,
cocaine.
• Inclusion Body Myositis caused by injury
• Overdosage exercise in muscles that have not been sufficiently trained leads to pain, swelling and weakness,
lasting from a few hours to several days after training. Inclusion body myositis symptoms that occur after exercise
almost always go away fully after rest and recovery.
• The main symptom of inclusion body myositis is muscle weakness. Weakness may be noticeable and can be
detected only by testing. Muscle pain-myalgia may, but does not need to be present. Dermatomyositis,
polymyositis, and other forms of inflammatory myositis tend to create a weakness that may progress slowly for
weeks or months. Weakness affects the large muscle groups, including the muscles of the neck, shoulders, hips
and back. Weakness caused by myositis may lead to the fact that body is not able to maintain a balance between
muscle power, which lead to falls.
Inclusion Body Myositis Treatment
• Doctor receives information of subjective character of the patient,
which describes muscle weakness, any pain or other symptoms of
myositis. Then, blood tests are performed, which show an
increased presence of muscle enzymes such as creatine. One can
determine the presence of abnormal antibodies that identify an
autoimmune inflammatory disease. Inflammatory diseases that
cause myositis may require treatment with drugs which suppress
the negative function of the immune system (autoimmunity). To
increase muscle ability we recommendcordyceps
sinensis and glucuronolactone. Inclusion body myositis caused by
infection, which is a consequence of the virus does not require any
special treatment. Myositis caused by bacteria rarely occurs and
requires intravenous antibiotic treatment in order to prevent
further spread of muscle damage. Inclusion body myositis
treatment on time is very important for your muscles.
