Prof Hansen will be teaching MPH 620 Introduction to Graduate School & the MPH Program. She has been the director of the MPH Program and was previously an educator and director of the Iowa Department of Public Health. Prof Hansen has experience in global health and serves on committees addressing health care reform, public health evaluation, laws and funding. 2. Hello! My name is Mary Mincer Hansen (Prof Hansen), and I am excited to be teaching this class And meeting all of you! I have been the director of the MPH Program. Before coming to DMU, I was an educator at another university and director of Iowa Department of Public Health under the cabinet of Governor Vilsack. I have been involved in global health for a number of years. I also am a member of Senator Harkin’s Health Care Advisory Committee addressing Health Care Reform. I am currently serving on an Institute of Medicine Committee making recommendations regarding public health, evaluation, laws and funding.
