Executive Summary
• Thane is well connected to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai through road and rail networks
• Successive movement of IT/ITES and other services companies to Thane and North Navi Mumbai fuelled
residential demand in Thane
• Thane properties which were available at affordable rates of Rs 4,500 per sq. ft. in 2008 doubled up to Rs
9,200 per sq. ft. in 2014
• Rising prices pushed affordable residential development to micro markets beyond Thane key amongst them
are Dombivali, Kalyan, Bhiwandi and Badlapur
• Though Thane continues to be the largest residential market, recent quarters have seen more units being
