projects of the company. Looked after the new upcoming projects of the Delhi
Government in the Transport Sector such as Design and Construction of New Bus
Depots, New BRT Corridor, New design Stainless Steel Bus Queue Shelters for DTC
etc., looking after the complete project works including planning, execution, safety,
aspects, tendering, dealing with the clients, consultants and contractors etc. ensuring

Joined IRCON INTERNATIONAL LTD as Engineer (Civil) in June 1981, and
resigned in February 2009 from the post of General Manager.

and construction of Railway track, Railway electrification projects including

DETAILS OF EXPERIENCE WITH IRCON INTERNATIONAL LTD
(From June 1981 to Feb 2009, Total approximately 28 years)
• Joined as Engineer and resigned as General Manager June 1981 – 3rd Feb 2009
 Project Nov 2008 – Feb 2009
ROB projects on Madurai Kanyakumari Section with Head Quarters at Madurai
as General Manager & Project Head controlling the complete design and execution of
the Project including Planning, Execution, Safety, Tendering, Finance and
Administration etc., Dealing with the Clients, Consultants, Contractors and handing
over to the Client ensuring profitability to IRCON. Project cost INR 1427 Million
approximately.
 Project July 2004 – Nov 2008
Ministry of Defense on Construction of 5 Housing Colonies, DLP of Construction of
IGRMS works, Bhopal Memorial Hospital etc. at Bhopal as General Manager and
Project Head controlling the complete execution of the Project including Planning,
Administration, Execution, Safety, Tendering and Finance etc., Dealing with the
Clients, Consultants, Contractors and handing over to the Client ensuring profitability to
IRCON. Total value of Projects INR 2395 Million approximately
 Project Oct 2003 - July 2004
On the Border Fencing with Pakistan project Planning, Design, Execution, and analysis
of timely completion with profitability to the Organization. I was also preparing estimates
& tendering works on New Track design and laying project in Sudan, Africa with
planning and analyzing the profitability timely completion of the work with the requisite
quality expected by the Clients.
 Project Jan. 2001 – Sept 2003
Worked in the Joint Venture of Ircon International Ltd with M/s L&T (ECC), M/S
Dywidag, Germany, M/s Samsung, Korea, M/s Shimizu, Japan. on the Construction
of Underground Metro Rail Corridor of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC),
Delhi – seconded by IRCON in the capacity of Additional General Manager. The work
involved was Construction of underground Delhi metro Rail Corridor between ISBT and
Central Secretariat, a length of about 7 km. I was heading the department of
Liasioning, Planning and Safety of the buildings for the complete Project ensuring
timely action on all the issues. The working at this Joint Venture of IRCON was of the
international standards with very strict control on the quality and the time schedules
along with foreign experts of the various fields. I was also looking after the Safety of all
the buildings including those very old buildings in the walled city of Delhi over the
alignment of the Metro route and ensured the safety of the building on ground even when
tunneling with TBM or NATM method was being executed underneath these buildings,
Project cost INR 1845 Million approximately
 Project April 1998 – Jan 2001
IRCON as Joint General Manager and Additional General Manager heading the
Project of Design and Construction of 1200 Meters long Flyover at JVLR Jaicoach
Junction on the busy Western Express Highway, at Jogeshwari, Mumbai for
Maharastra State Road Development Corporation as Project In charge. The project was
executed on the busy Western Express Highway and the work was to be completed in a
short time frame in the busy area required thorough planning, safety, quality and
execution. The Flyover was completed a month before the required time for construction
of twelve months with the meticulous Planning. Project cost INR 270 Million
approximately
I was also looking after the work of Construction of Multistoried flats for officers of
Ircon International Ltd., and Western Railway at Pali Hill, Bandra (West),
Mumbai, controlling the overall management of the project including planning,
execution, safety, finance, quality control etc. Project cost
INR 180 Million approximately
Besides above I had officiated as GM Western Region controlling all the works of
IRCON in the Western Region of India including design and construction of 29 ROBs in
the State of Maharastra. Project cost INR 1750 Million approximately
 Project Nov.1992 - April 1998
IRCON/ Manager, Senior Manager & Joint General Manager/ Design and Construction
of balanced cantilever RCC folded plate hanger of IAL to accommodate 6 Airbus 300 at
Bombay as Project- in-charge. I was also looking after design and construction of Hanger
to accommodate 2 Boeing 747 Jumbos simultaneously, for Air India. The complete
works were planning of the work was to be done ensuring that the operations in the
Hanger could continue uninterrupted The work of Building rehabilitation and new
construction of CIFE was also looked after. After completion of IAL Hanger, looked
after the work of construction of 104 staff quarters for Airport Authority of India which
included complete services also such as Roads, Water Supply, and Drainage etc. Total
value of the Projects was INR 1000 Millions approximately.
I was working as Project In-charge for the above works controlling the overall
management of the project planning, design, execution, finance, safety, quality
control and marketing etc. ensuring the profitability for IRCON
 Project June1990 - Nov. 1992
IRCON/ as Manager for the Delhi Mathura Highway Project. looking after the works
of construction of Delhi Mathura Highway, offices & residential buildings for clients,
setting up of camps, quarries and besides all other works of construction of highway
project. Project cost INR 1637 Million approximately
 Project Jan.1989 – June 1990
IRCON as Deputy Manager (Civil) in Turkey on Sincan Eskiseher Railway
Electrification project looking after the designs and construction of all civil structures.

IRCON Chandigarh/ as Project Head In-charge of the works looking after the projects of
design and Construction of widening to 4 lane and strengthening of National Highway-1

of ballast less track to attain Super Sonic speed with other miscellaneous works for
Ministry of Defense, Government of India. Project cost INR 120 Million approximately

Overseas Exposure
I was sent to IRAQ for three months onsite training on the construction of High Speed
Rail track works along-with all ancillary works such as Embankment construction, Road
works, Bridges works Buildings etc. The work was being carried out under strict
control of European Consultants. After successfully completing the training I was
repatriated back in Dec 1984. Total value of the Projects was US $ 480 Million

I was also looking after the Safety of all the buildings including those very old buildings in the walled city of Delhi over the alignment of the Metro route and ensured the safety of the building on ground even when tunneling with TBM or NATM method was being executed underneath these buildings, Project cost INR 1845 Million approximately  Project April 1998 – Jan 2001 IRCON as Joint General Manager and Additional General Manager heading the Project of Design and Construction of 1200 Meters long Flyover at JVLR Jaicoach Junction on the busy Western Express Highway, at Jogeshwari, Mumbai for Maharastra State Road Development Corporation as Project In charge. The project was executed on the busy Western Express Highway and the work was to be completed in a short time frame in the busy area required thorough planning, safety, quality and execution. The Flyover was completed a month before the required time for construction of twelve months with the meticulous Planning. Project cost INR 270 Million approximately I was also looking after the work of Construction of Multistoried flats for officers of Ircon International Ltd., and Western Railway at Pali Hill, Bandra (West), Mumbai, controlling the overall management of the project including planning, execution, safety, finance, quality control etc. Project cost INR 180 Million approximately Besides above I had officiated as GM Western Region controlling all the works of IRCON in the Western Region of India including design and construction of 29 ROBs in the State of Maharastra. Project cost INR 1750 Million approximately  Project Nov.1992 - April 1998 IRCON/ Manager, Senior Manager & Joint General Manager/ Design and Construction of balanced cantilever RCC folded plate hanger of IAL to accommodate 6 Airbus 300 at Bombay as Project- in-charge. I was also looking after design and construction of Hanger to accommodate 2 Boeing 747 Jumbos simultaneously, for Air India. The complete works were planning of the work was to be done ensuring that the operations in the Hanger could continue uninterrupted The work of Building rehabilitation and new construction of CIFE was also looked after. After completion of IAL Hanger, looked after the work of construction of 104 staff quarters for Airport Authority of India which included complete services also such as Roads, Water Supply, and Drainage etc. Total value of the Projects was INR 1000 Millions approximately. I was working as Project In-charge for the above works controlling the overall management of the project planning, design, execution, finance, safety, quality control and marketing etc. ensuring the profitability for IRCON

  • 6.  Project June1990 - Nov. 1992 IRCON/ as Manager for the Delhi Mathura Highway Project. looking after the works of construction of Delhi Mathura Highway, offices & residential buildings for clients, setting up of camps, quarries and besides all other works of construction of highway project. Project cost INR 1637 Million approximately  Project Jan.1989 – June 1990 IRCON as Deputy Manager (Civil) in Turkey on Sincan Eskiseher Railway Electrification project looking after the designs and construction of all civil structures. Project cost US $. 150 Million approximately  Project Jan.1985 - Dec. 1988 IRCON Chandigarh/ as Project Head In-charge of the works looking after the projects of design and Construction of widening to 4 lane and strengthening of National Highway-1 between Sirhind & Khanna in Punjab of 25 Kms length and Design and Construction of ballast less track to attain Super Sonic speed with other miscellaneous works for Ministry of Defense, Government of India. Project cost INR 120 Million approximately  Project Sept.1984 - Dec.1984 IRCON Project in IRAQ for on-site training of high speed track for Govt. of IRAQ at Samawa, IRAQ. Overseas Exposure I was sent to IRAQ for three months onsite training on the construction of High Speed Rail track works along-with all ancillary works such as Embankment construction, Road works, Bridges works Buildings etc. The work was being carried out under strict control of European Consultants. After successfully completing the training I was repatriated back in Dec 1984. Total value of the Projects was US $ 480 Million approximately  Project Jun.1981 - Sep. 1984 IRCON on Delhi Mathura Railway Electrification Project as in-charge of works for design and Construction of Railway Electrification structures, transmission line projects.
