Lesson Plan in Integrative Science (Kinder Garten)
I- Objective: At the end of the lesson the pupil should be able to :
1. Identify the things that plants need in order to grow.
2. Identify the common plants in the community
3. Determine the sizes of a plant.

2. Checking of attendance

B. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation
Sing a song “Plant a Seed”
Sung to tune of twinkle, twinkle little Star
Now it’s time to plant a seed
Water, sun and soil we need
First some roots and then a stem
Then some leaves out on a limb
Grow, tree, grow-that’s what you do
Come; climb up on a branch or two
2. Presentation
Meeting 1: Present a poem entitled “A plant “
Questions:
1. What sleeps in the heart of a seed?
2. What does the sun tell the little plant?
3. What does the rain tell the little plant?
4. What happens to the little plant?
Work period 1 (Small Group)
ď‚· Give them a picture coming from the poem.
ď‚· Cut out the pictures
ď‚· Arrange them in the correct order and paste it in a bond paper
ď‚· Color the pictures.
Meeting 2:
Bring the class to their garden
Ask:
1. What are the common plants did you see?
2. How many mango trees did you see?
Mahogany?Eggplant?petchay?
ď‚· Let them count. Tell what are the plant needs in order to grow.
ď‚· Let Say: A_____is a common plant
An_____is a common plant.
3. Activity
Indoor Activity
Skill: Molding Different Figure (Plants, fruits, leaves, flowers)
Materials:
ď‚· Modeling clay
ď‚· Molder- hulmahan
ď‚· Models of figures to be formed
Instruction:
ď‚· Pupils are encouraged to join a group of classmates
ď‚· Each group will select a specific figure that they will form.
ď‚· Get the needed materials from the wok center
ď‚· Mould a plant, a fruit, a leaf or a flower
ď‚· Exhibit the finished work
Describe the figure-its size, shape and color.
4. Application
Name the plants.
Color all the common plants
Value Integration: How we are going to take good care of our plants?
IV- Evaluation
Look at the pictures.
Which is big? Which is small?
Cut-out and paste each picture on the right box.
V- Assignment:
Collectpictures of fruits/flowers of commonplants. Paste the picture in the
bond paper.

Lesson Plan in Integrative Science (Kinder Garten) I- Objective: At the end of the lesson the pupil should be able to : 1. Identify the things that plants need in order to grow. 2. Identify the common plants in the community 3. Determine the sizes of a plant. II- Subject Matter A. Plants B. Reference: Preschool Education Teacher Handbook Preschool Integrated Core Curriculum (My Community) Work text for Preschool pp. 212-231 C. Materials: Picture of a plant, a chart where the poem is written (A plant) D. Subject Integrated: Science Numeracy Literacy Socio-emotional E. Values Integration: taking care of a plant Cooperation with the group, Participation Creativity III- Procedure A. Preparatory Activity 1. Prayer 2. Checking of attendance 3. Sharing Experiences B. Lesson Proper 1. Motivation Sing a song “Plant a Seed” Sung to tune of twinkle, twinkle little Star Now it’s time to plant a seed Water, sun and soil we need First some roots and then a stem Then some leaves out on a limb Grow, tree, grow-that’s what you do Come; climb up on a branch or two
  • 2. 2. Presentation Meeting 1: Present a poem entitled “A plant “ Questions: 1. What sleeps in the heart of a seed? 2. What does the sun tell the little plant? 3. What does the rain tell the little plant? 4. What happens to the little plant? Work period 1 (Small Group) ď‚· Give them a picture coming from the poem. ď‚· Cut out the pictures ď‚· Arrange them in the correct order and paste it in a bond paper ď‚· Color the pictures. Meeting 2: Bring the class to their garden Ask: 1. What are the common plants did you see? 2. How many mango trees did you see? Mahogany?Eggplant?petchay? ď‚· Let them count. Tell what are the plant needs in order to grow. ď‚· Let Say: A_____is a common plant An_____is a common plant. 3. Activity Indoor Activity Skill: Molding Different Figure (Plants, fruits, leaves, flowers) Materials: ď‚· Modeling clay ď‚· Molder- hulmahan ď‚· Models of figures to be formed Instruction: ď‚· Pupils are encouraged to join a group of classmates ď‚· Each group will select a specific figure that they will form. ď‚· Get the needed materials from the wok center ď‚· Mould a plant, a fruit, a leaf or a flower ď‚· Exhibit the finished work Describe the figure-its size, shape and color.
  • 3. 4. Application Name the plants. Color all the common plants Value Integration: How we are going to take good care of our plants? IV- Evaluation Look at the pictures. Which is big? Which is small? Cut-out and paste each picture on the right box.

  • 5. V- Assignment: Collectpictures of fruits/flowers of commonplants. Paste the picture in the bond paper.
