Ferguson's Career Guidance CenterDetailed profiles of more than 2,900 jobs, articles on resume-building and job-seeking skills, plus information about colleges and scholarships. Learning Express LibraryPreparation tests for school, career and citizenship. Requires free, simple registration. Use your library card number as your user name to access this service from home. Resume Maker and Career Building CenterThis tool makes writing a better resume quick and easy. Simply fill in the blanks at each step with thousands of pre-written phrases and keywords recommended by experts for most careers.

5. “Utilizing Key Resources”- Career Library Career Library has five user-friendly components help users match their interests to occupations, education prospects, and more. Created for individual researchers and career/education technology professionals, Career Library is a valuable addition to libraries and career centers. Career Library Consists of Five Major Components: Exploration Center – This component lets users assess career interests and explore information pertaining to occupations and higher education. It contains interest and skills assessments, connecting results to career cluster and/or occupation list. It provides various search options and important information including: Occupation Search, College Search, Financial Aid Information, Apprenticeships, Military Occupations, College Majors, State-specific Data, Occupation Video Library (English and Spanish), and more. Planning Center – This component lets users obtain printable resources and gather information that will assist with planning to enter the higher education community or the workforce. It includes resources such as a resume builder, as well as college and career planning checklists. Resource Center – This segment lets users search for web resources related to colleges/universities, careers, curriculum, and much more. Fill In the Blanks You can simply “fill in the blanks”, in a step-by-step process throughout the entire progression of creating your resume. You choose pre-written phrases, keywords and designs provided to you by Resume Maker. Use a Template Use one, or several of the many resumes in Resume Maker to help you create the design of your resume, as well as give you suggestions on the content (action words) of your resume.
