companies get fresh water from ca. 6,200 providers.
 Energy-producing, industrial and mining companies mostly
satisfy their need by abstracting water directly.
 Fresh water supply and sewage treatment are in the
responsibilities of municipalities
 The length of the drinking water network is ca. 500,000km.

total renewable
water resources
are abstracted:
