2. Technology Integration Rationale
Technology can be useful in teaching the topic of life cycle of
a butterfly to show students the process of metamorphosis
through the use of videos, pictures and online models.
Through the use of technology, students can discover real life
visuals of butterflies and other animals who experience life
cycle changes.
The use of technology can also help to address the various
learning styles of students. The internet can provide pictures,
videos, audio and reading materials to keep students engage
in their learning using 21st century learning skills.

1.) How would this diagram/GO be used in an actual lesson? This diagram of the Life Cycle of a Butterfly could be used in an actual lesson as an inactive tool. This diagram can easily be displayed on a SmartBoard. It will give students the opportunity to physically touch the screen and move the images to the appropriate sections of the life cycle chart. 2.) How does this visual enhance student understanding of the topic? This visual will help to enhance student understanding of the topic by allowing students to use visual and kinesthetic styles of learning. All students will visually see the display, while some students actually move the images with their finger to the appropraite location. It allows learning to be interactive and more hand-on, address 21st century learning skills.
