Halloween is a typical celebration of American culture. Of pagan origin, the traditional
festival takes place annually, every October 31st Besides the USA, other English-
speaking countries (Canada, Scotland, England and Ireland) also celebrate this date.
Many children dress up in fancy costumes and visit other homes in the neighbourhood.
At each house, they ask sweets, snacks or a small gift. If they do not get this, they
threaten to do some harm to the inhabitants of the house. This is known as playing
'trick-or-treat' and is supposed to happen in a friendly spirit, with no nasty.

Jack O’Lantern is a carved pumpkin, associated with the holiday of Halloween and named
after the phenomenon of strange light flickering over peat bogs.
This is traditionally a flame or electric candle, though electric pumpkin lights featuring
various colors.
It is common to see Jack O’Lantern on doorsteps and otherwise used as decorations prior
to and during Halloween.

The symbols of Halloween must be figures related to monster, scary characters
and images that provoke fear.Although many images can to be used at the
time,tradition points to some classic symbols such as

common to light a candle and put inside the pumpkin on Halloween night.
