Read the passage below and answer the question that follows.
Rewrite on how Chinese New Year is celebrated:
 in continuous writing form
 in one paragraph
 in your own words as far as possible
 in not more than 60 words including the 10 words given below.

Chinese New Year, the most important holiday for the Chinese lasts for ……..

The Chinese New Year is the most important holiday for the Chinese. The
first day is between January 21 and February 19. People prepare for the holiday
for fifteen days.
Finally, at midnight it is New Year’s Day or the first day of the first month, Yuan
Tan. People close their shops and the streets are empty. Everyone locks the doors
and stays at home.
It is an important time for the family. The younger people bow to the older
people. The Chinese call this ‘K’ou ‘T’ou or Kowtow. This means “to touch the
ground with the forehead”. Then the younger people wish the older people a
happy New Year. The older people give children gifts of money in red envelopes.
The family then goes to sleep.
In the morning, everything is quiet. People dress in their best clothes. They are
very polite and do not use bad words. People stay home. It is very quiet in the
streets.
