2.  Milton Hershey started his
 business
selling caramels, Lancaster Caramel Co.
 In 1893 he bought a German
machinery to produce chocolate
coating for his caramels.
 Soon after he noticed a demand
for chocolate.

3.  1900 Hershey sold his caramel company.
 Company opened in 1905 as Hershey Chocolate Company.
 In 1925 Hershey Co. held 29.3% of candy market in U.S.
 To run the plant he hired William Murrie, who had been an
outstanding salesman for his caramel business. (And 2nd M in
M&Ms)
 Hershey built an experimental kitchen.
 He believed not only in the Golden Rule but also in its corollary:

4.  Made first million at age 43.
