1896 inneuchatel, switerland and died in
1980 in geneva switzerland.
His theory of cognitive development
consists of four stages of intellectual
development.

3. Stage 1 cognitive development
 Sensorimotor stage (birth to age2).
The child begins to develop.

Preoperational stage(Age 2-7)

4. Concrete operational stage(7-12)

hypotheses.

acquistion, storage, information, use of
knowledge.
