As per Associated Chambers of Commerce and
Industry in India (Assocham), the Online retail
market in India may grow to Rs. 70 billion (over $
1.3 billion) by 2015 from Rs. 20 billion in 2011 as
the internet access improves.
On an average 10000 – 12000 people shop for
books everyday. Most are men within age group
of 25-35.
Almost 50% of the orders come from the top eight
cities and the remaining come from B & C class
towns.
