9. Results from my interview I carried out my interview on 7 different candidates, by doing this I was able to get a wide variety of answers and opinions on music magazines. The majority of people I interviewed did read music magazines. Those who didn’t told me it was because their wasn’t a magazine which targeted various genres they were interested in. From carrying out my interview I found that it is important to consider which image is used when creating my front page. This is because most people asked said that an image was the item that originally attracted their attention to the magazine. If a popular, well known artist was shown on the front cover it was more likely to sell the magazine. Feedback also showed that the storylines included were also important and people are more likely to read them if they have a humorous punn or interesting headline. I found that people like to read about artists personal lives aswell as their careers, however it was specified that the focus of the article should be on the musician and their work. The most popular choice of artists included Florence Welch, Dizzee Rascal, White lies and Chase and status. People I asked thought the name JAM was effective as it reminded them of listening to music and relaxing. Other suggestions included tone and shout. To make my music magazine unique it was suggested to design my front cover in an individual way that stands out from other music magazines.
