2. The Driveway / Doorway
• The main lighting for
this scene will be natural
or from a light which is
above the doorway. This
filler light will help
brighten up the scene.
• The cameras will be
placed in two main
locations, this will be
inside the doorway
looking over the actors
shoulder and outside
the doorway looking into
the house.
3. Library
• The key lighting for
the library shot will be
from lights that are on
the ceiling. This is
because it is a dark
room with not a lot of
natural lighting.
• The first shot will be
taken on the opposite
side of the table that the
actor is sitting at and the
camera will be facing
them. The other shot will
be an over the shoulder
shot.
4. Classroom
• The key lighting this
will be coming from
above as again the
lighting is placed on the
ceiling. There may also
be some light coming
through windows.
• This location only has
one shot and this is an
extreme long shot
therefore the camera is
placed far away from
the action taking place.
5. Restaurant
• As the diagram
shows, there will be filler
lighting coming from
behind the actors as
there are windows.
However main lighting
will come from ceiling
lights as it is quite a
dark restaurant.
• The camera will be
position opposite the
table to take a medium
shot of the two actors
and we will use the
zoom function to take a
close up.
6. The Street / Road
• This shot is filmed in the evening meaning that there will be some natural
lighting however to brighten up the shot and to ensure the actor is visible
we will use a filler light which will be in front of the camera.
• This camera will be in front of the actor, but far away to take and extreme
long shot. The camera will be going backwards as it is tracking the actors.
7. Kitchen
• This shot will also
have natural lighting
coming through the
window behind actors
however the key lighting
will be a ceiling light.
• The first camera is
placed behind the actor
as it is an over the
shoulder shot. The other
camera is placed in
front of the actor a
reaction shot.
8. Living Room
• This location will be lit
with lots of little filler
lights which will be
candles. If we find
ourselves needing more
light we can use the
fireplace or a lamp to
add more light. The TV
may also give off some
light as this will be
playing in the
background.
9. Dining Room
• The camera in this
scene will be opposite
the actor which is
across the table. This is
so we can film the
medium shots and close
ups in the same place.
• The main lighting will
come from a light which
will be placed above the
camera.
10. Dining Room
• The camera in this
scene will be opposite
the actor which is
across the table. This is
so we can film the
medium shots and close
ups in the same place.
• The main lighting will
come from a light which
will be placed above the
camera.
