3. Weaknesses
• Limited number of health staff as to the ratio of the number of
learners and DepED-employees
• Limited number of programs to be implemented due to the few
number of coordinators who can handle the health programs.
• Limited medical and dental paraphernalia and gadgets to be used
during health and dental assessment and management.
• Insufficient time for health education and teaching to the learners,
stakeholders and employees.
• Absence of medical and dental clinic in the office.
• Absence of security in the different school clinics
4. Opportunities
• Engagement with Non-Government Institutions/Agencies
• Addition of essential manpower of the section like Medical
Technologist, Nutritionist-Dietitian , and Dental Aide
• Procurement of mobile health service to the people (e.g. ambulance
and dental bus)
• More seminars and trainings for the enhancement of the coordinators
and the implementation of the different programs
• Successful Referral Programs to the Specialists or Other Physicians
5. Threat
• Security breach of the medical and dental supplies placed in the
different school clinics
• Negativism regarding health and medical advices
• Misinformation from entities like social media, religious beliefs, false
advertising of some products, and myths.
• Uncooperative attitudes of people, stakeholders, patients, folks, and
fellow workers.
• Cutting off the fund allocated for the Health and Nutrition
• Decreasing the number of workforce
