2. Who are we?
American Maglev Technology, Inc.
Founded in 1994, AMT has raised $50
million in private equity to date.
Our test facility in Powder Springs, GA
has completed a rigorous 3-year
testing program with a full-scale, fully
loaded vehicle.
The technology is ready for
commercial deployment.
3. Who are we?
Grupo ACS / Grupo Cobra
In April 2010, AMT entered into a 10-year
exclusive global alliance with Grupo ACS from
Madrid, Spain.
ACS generated $38 billion in revenues in 2009.
Built the Delhi Metro, operate the Madrid Metro,
built high speed rail lines in Spain.
Together, AMT and ACS will design, build,
finance, operate and maintain transit systems as
private initiatives and P3s.
A highly competent team ensures successful projects.

70% less energy than 6 kwh/km
conventional wheeled
technologies.
AMT
Upon braking, AMT’s innovative 1.8 kwh/km
Linear Induction Motor (LIM)
recaptures 53% of kinetic
energy stores trackside for
future departures.
Lower energy usage reduces operating costs & fares.
8. Environmental Mitigation
zero emission & minimal footprint
Solar panels along the track will generate
1 megawatt of energy per mile, weather
permitting. Additional panels mounted
atop stations generate additional energy.
Each AMT vehicle requires approximately
100 kw per hour for full operations.
On sunny days, AMT will operate solely
from generated solar energy.
AMT revolutionizes transit by operating off the grid.
9. Environmental Mitigation

The guideway is a conduit for utility
transmission, with the ability to carry:
WiFi / WiMax
high voltage power
high capacity fiber optics

The “smart grid” prevents the loss of any
transformer from interrupting service, acts as
a significant energy storage system, and
provides additional revenues that offset costs
of operations and lower passenger fares.
AMT’s “smart grid” opens the market to new revenue streams.
10. Urban Redevelopment
defining livable communities
Focusing on 21st century growth patterns and development trends, AMT
caters to the emerging mega-regions, or integrated sets of cities and their
surrounding areas that share unique, developing challenges.
AMT integrates competencies to build systems for all types of demand
and are fully scalable to future trends and desires of city planners.
AMT serves megaregions for uniquely 21st century transit.
11. Urban Redevelopment
defining livable communities
By reserving development rights around
stations, AMT will create mixed-use,
walkable communities where transit is
premier choice for access to education,
occupation and health services.
AMT not only develops transit, it develops communities.
12. Urban Redevelopment
defining livable communities
Investments into the system

partners and leveraged to
provide economic
development and community
participation in transit &
development activity.

13. A New 21st Century Lifestyle
seamless integration with everyday life
The slim design of the civil
structure fits within existing
corridors.
No new rights-of-way are
needed for the development of
the system
Existing communities are
preserved, and redevelopment
is encouraged around stations.
The structure preserves neighborhoods and communities.
14. A New 21st Century Lifestyle
seamless integration with everyday life
With the advent of cell phones and on-
demand services & entertainment,
transportation must make a paradigm
shift to fit with the customer’s lifestyle in
order to successfully compete with the
automobile.
The value of AMT to customers is
fast, frequent and flexible
service that optimizes convenience for
patrons of the system and increases the
attractiveness of mass transit.
AMT aligns with 21st century lifestyles to attract passengers.
15. A New 21st Century Lifestyle
seamless integration with everyday life
As an elevated system, AMT can travel at much higher speeds in dense
areas since it has no grade crossings or signals.
With top speeds of 120-150mph, AMT transports passengers much faster
than automobiles and, at distances between 300-500 miles, faster than
airplanes.
AMT targets segments in which it is faster than a car or plane.
16. A New 21st Century Lifestyle
seamless integration with everyday life
On-demand travel will be the premier choice of 21st century customers,
and rail must adapt in order to successfully capture the automobile driver
market segment.
Frequent departures (<8 minutes) increase reliability and diffuse traffic at
peak times making AMT an attractive transit option for the customer.
AMT never publishes train schedules; trips are only minutes apart.
17. A New 21st Century Lifestyle
seamless integration with everyday life
The slim AMT structure allows for route placement within existing rights of
way, taking passengers to and from activity centers in the most direct route
available (via roadways).
Passengers will not have to travel out of the way to ride the system and will
be delivered safely and swiftly to desired locations within and among cities.
AMT takes passengers to exactly where they want to go.

mobility solution.
Civil works components (columns and
bridges) typically represent 45-50% of
capital expenses, and this portion of the
cost has been optimized to be extremely
low cost.
Vehicles are added as demand grows, so
there is never a risk of overcapacity.
Every aspect of the system has been optimized for low cost.
20. Self-Sufficient Operations
no operating deficits or public subsidies
Automation cuts operating costs by 50%
as compared to systems with drivers, while
improving safety.

not required, and regular maintenance is

25. Local Integration
assembling & constructing locally
Every dollar of high-tech assembly
payroll generates $5 of economic
activity in the local market.
By integrating components locally,
AMT creates a surge of economic
activity in the community during the
development of the project.
26. Continuous Innovation

The process of purchasing components
from businesses across the globe while
managing the assembly of the
technology allows AMT to maintain
strict control over intellectual property
portfolios.
AMT can continuously improve its
technology by utilizing state-of-the-art
components from specialists.
