Prezi is a web 2.0 application that allows for more interactive presentations than PowerPoint, with features like zooming in and out and adding various multimedia elements. It allows for easy collaboration on presentations, with multiple people able to work simultaneously on the same project from different accounts. Prezi is beneficial in the classroom as it engages students through visual appeal and technological tools, and offers a change from typical PowerPoint presentations.

Web 2.0 Application Review
The web 2.0 application I chose was Prezi. Prezi is kind of like a much more interactive
version of Powerpoint. Anyone can use Prezi. Signing up for an account is free. Prezi allows you
to choose a template or make your own for your presentation. By clicking on different sections,
you can zoom in and out of points, as well as adding pictures, videos, music, PowerPoints,
documents, etc.
One of the best things about Prezi is that multiple people can collaborate on the same
presentation. Everyone can work on the same presentation from their own personal account. This
means that group work can be done together or separately, making group projects a lot less
hassle. Everyone can bring something different to the project, which allows everyone to feel like
their opinion is being heard.
Prezi is great in the classroom for a number of reasons. First of all, a number of
technological tools can be used in a Prezi, as I mentioned before. Prezis can also be pretty
visually appealing, which holds a student’s interest more than a PowerPoint may. Second of all,
it is simply different from what students normally do, giving it an advantage.
