Experience
1999-Present : Hamman Marketing Associates ▪ Johnson City, TN - A marketing communication
consultancy dedicated to supporting international development through comprehensive
marketing communications and training programs. Experience includes:
• 2014: Trade mission organization – Mongolia – Work conducted with the Business
Council of Mongolia to arrange B2B opportunities for international mining companies
and mining service providers.
• 2014: LiteFoods, Inc. – Malaysia – Complete branding and corporate ID program for
this food additives company launching its brand in the US. Logo and branding, trade
show promotion, video, print materials, web design and special events all supported the
effort.
2014: AmCham Palestine/MEPI – West Bank – Working with women-owned business in
the Palestinian Territories to evaluate and prepare for export readiness, culminating in a
2015 appearance at NY Now Gift Show.
2013-14: Livestock Market Development Program – Ethiopia – Through CNFA,
conducted USAID-funded training with abattoirs, livestock exporters and their
respective associations to develop their marketing plans to raise awareness of Ethiopia’s
offerings particularly in the MENA region. Also developed the program marketing plan
for the 2014 Gulf Food Show in Dubai.
2013-14: Business Connections Program – Kazakhstan – Through IESC and USAID,
created curriculum and provided entrepreneurial training and education on working
with the US market and uncovering international import, export and franchise
opportunities for program attendees of Academy Turan-Profi in Astana and KIMEP
University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Over 500 attendees trained and over US$16million
realized in new US business connections.
2013: Compete Project – West Bank/Gaza – Through DAI and the AmCham Palestine,
administered program of tradeshow promotion and awareness building around the
2013 Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.

2012-Pres: Overseas Private Investment Corp – Loan and Private Risk Insurance
originator for OPIC through the Enterprise Development Network.
2003 – 2011: Tunisian Government/FAMEX/Packtec – Tunis, Tunisia – Delivered
USAID- and World Bank-funded programs to promote Tunisian companies and help
them build export programs in various sectors including the three-year 100% Tunisian
olive oil promotion to the US resulting in a 5000% increase in branded exports to the US
market.
2001 – 2011: The Original Ceylon Tea Company – Dallas, TX – Importer of exclusive,
high mountain-grown teas from Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Originally begun as a ‘dot-com’ in
the early 90s, the company was rebranded for mainstream grocery and specialty foods
retailers (Kroger, Albertson’s, HEB, Central Market, Whole Foods, etc.) and was placed in
over 2,000 stores nationwide.

2008 – 2009: BDC – Amman, Jordan – Delivered a USAID-funded program to promote

2005 – 2006: Wellmont Health System – Kingsport, TN – Served as an outsourced
project manager for this regional hospital network, with locations throughout NE

2003 – 2004 International Executive Services Corp (IESC) – Washington, DC - Developed
and administered programs through the organization’s Solutions Group until it was
disbanded in 2004.
