1. PRESS RELEASE
Shakey’s Pizza adopts loyalty solution from
GHL Systems in the Philippines
GHL Systems’ PivotPoints stands as a backbone to Shakey’s loyalty
platform.
Makati, Manila, 25 June 2010 – Consumer use of loyalty
cards are steadily increasing and their importance in
enhancing the shopping experience has become
commonplace. Of late, most consumers have been
accustomed to reaping the rewards and incentives of such programs. These perks have
become customary to many businesses around the world and the needs to maintain
and enrich these programs must be met.
To service the growing trend of loyalty solutions and platforms, GHL Systems’
PivotPoints Loyalty Solutions was designed to encompass an end-to-end solution
seamlessly. Built on the APICTA award-winning NetTransact solution suite, PivotPoints’
open integration and application platform enables new technology and applications to
grow seamlessly and in line with a business’ expansion.
Similarly in the case of Shakey’s Philippines, an
upgrade to the loyalty program on the Shakey’s
Pizzanatic card was called for. The end result
was PivotPoints Loyalty Solution that consisted
of a total end-to-end solution: initiated from
the loyalty card, to the EDC terminal
application and ending with PivotPoints’ loyalty
host.
End to end solution
The end to end solution encompasses three major components consisting of issued
loyalty cards, the EDC terminal application and the loyalty server that manages
cardholder and transaction information.
Typical loyalty transactions begin with the Pizzanatic Supercard that stores cardholder
information being swiped on an EDC terminal. The terminal houses a flexible loyalty
application engine that facilitates immediate points award and redemption - in mere
seconds. The information accumulated would then be routed to the loyalty host
functioning on a high performance processing engine. Shakey’s can proceed to manage
the information through a web-based management and administration console.

2. Due to the versatile nature of PivotPoints, the integration from POS terminal to
Shakeys’ cash register was executed smoothly. A flexible platform as such ensures
speedy reactions to ever-changing business strategies. Additionally, the new platform
provides Shakey’s with the opportunity to increase the number of potential customers
through the refined Shakey’s Pizzanatic Supercard – that now includes a redeemable
points system. Since its launch in April 2010, over fourteen thousand personalized
cards have been issued and the numbers are still growing every day. The number is
expected to reach 100,000 cards by year end.
PivotsPoints’ secure and easily-manageable architecture offers Shakey’s and their
customers the latest technology in customer experience with a loyalty program. By
providing an extensive and robust platform within the loyalty server, Shakey’s can
easily store and manage vital customer information. Consequently, PivotPoints doubles
as a tool to improve sales, and to improve customer satisfaction levels. Information
captured and gathered by PivotPoints also serves as valuable inputs to other third-
party business intelligence and customer analytics applications.
With this implementation, Shakeys joins the ranks of many other regional and
multinational organizations that have successfully deployed PivotPoints as its chosen
platform for loyalty management.
