Instructions
LO: To be able to understand the context of the novel, ‘The
Hunger Games’
The Hunger Games – a science fiction novel - was written in
2008 by Suzanne Collins.
Collins was inspired to write the book having watched
coverage of the Iraq war on television.
Your task is to use the internet to research and create a
presentation about the Iraq war.
- When did it start?
- Who was involved?
- What caused it to happen?
- Why did it cause controversy?
In your presentation, you could include news articles about
the war, and could write your own newspaper-style article
about what happened.

2. Rules
All students have signed a class contract which sets
out the rules for working in a DS lesson, one copy is
attached. Please enforce these rules.
