The document describes a personalized health and beauty care (PHBC) platform that integrates blockchain, AI, and IoT technologies. The PHBC platform uses Xanadu's distributed database to securely store and regulate access to personal genomic, health sensor, and other data. It implements decentralized applications and analytics tools to enable users to exchange and analyze their healthcare data. The document outlines demos of key components, including integrating blockchain with the Xanadu database, a wallet app for transactions, a research interface for genome analysis, and using AI for personalized healthcare applications.
2. Personalized Health & Beauty Care (PHBC) Platform Technology
PHBC platform is the world first big data blockchain system in integration
with AI and IoT for personalized health & beauty care applications.
Platform Components
PHBC platform implements Xanadu database for big data management.
Xanadu database can be integrated with existing blockchain network
such as Ethereum or with custom developed blockchain network for
secure data transaction & store/access/exploitation.
PHBC platform implements various Dapps for proving research
collaboration & personalized health & beauty care applications.
3. Blockchain-Xanadu Integration
User can store his/her personal genomic sequence & healthcare related
sensor data/stem cell data/meditation data and regulate access on
secure Xanadu database utilizing available distributed storages including
Amazon cloud.
To enhance security, only pure data excluding personal identification
information will be stored on the database, and the PHBC blockchain
layer will store only the hash values of these transactions (uniquely
identify the data) on the block to record and track ownership and
authority.
Because only non-identifying information is in data storage, one cannot
identify who actually owns the account holding the data. Additional
security measure is provided by encrypting each data to be stored.
Xanadu database can store high volume & speed data that are
generated for constant monitoring of the respective personal health
related environment (e.g., physical activity, skin moisture etc.) by IoT
sensors. Such IoT data can be stored implementing another level of
security in the distributed database.
4. Research & Service Platform
PHBC platform implements various DApps (decentralized applications
that can be driven on a variety of platforms, including Web, mobile apps,
and smart devices) for users to access their electronic wallet and
healthcare data.
PHBC platform enables users to exchange and exploit data of their
personal healthcare on the database in integration with genomic analysis
tools, big data analytics, IoT analytics, and machine/deep learning
analysis tools.
5. PHBC Platform Technology Implementation Demo
Technology Demo is designed to show potential implementations of key
component of PHBC platform for a typical use case. Technology Demo
includes four sub-demos for each component:
1, A demo to show blockchain-Xanadu database integration for medical
big data store, access, and exploitation. This demo implements a GUI
that visualizes the transaction in blockchain layer & data store/access in
Xanadu distributed database using medical image data.
2. A demo to show an interaction between a DApp front-end and a smart
contract for ERC-20 Token on Ethereum test network. This demo
implements a GUI on client’s iPhone that visualizes the transaction of
PHBC Coin.
6. PHBC Platform Technology Implementation Demo
3. A demo to show a research platform for analysis of genome sequence
data using GATK, which is a genome analysis toolkit developed by MIT-
Harvard Broad Institute. This demo implements a GUI top of GATK
command line UI for providing user friendly interface.
4. A demo to show a service platform for analysis of genome sequence
data using AI. This demo implements a deep learning program
developed in Stanford University to show how AI can be used for
personalized healthcare applications.
