1. Shooting script<br />Scene 1<br />Opening scene, point of view shot walking along. Could either be the point of view from the penny or someone carrying the penny.<br />At 17 seconds the title comes in saying ‘Penny’<br />At 26 seconds the scene ends-<br />The screen goes blank and writing appears ‘It began with a Penny…’<br />Scene 2<br />The establishing shot of the character walking into the distance and dropping the penny. This is the shot that is also used for the poster.<br />At 38 seconds the scene fades to black ready for the next scene.<br />Scene 3<br />Introducing a new character into the shot, she finds the penny and walks into the distance.<br />At 1.06 we see the link into the next scene<br />Scene 4<br />The character walks past the charity collector; she drops the penny into the tin and walks off<br />At 1.16 the screen fades to black and we are introduced to the character counting money<br />Cuts to close up of the phone at 1.33 then back to the character at 1.46. We see that the character has received good news and accidentally drops the penny<br />At 1.53 we see a close up of the penny that has dropped on the floor ready for the next character.<br />Scene 5<br />New character is introduced and she picked the penny up from the floor, she scratches the card and we see that she has won; in excitement she too drops the penny on the floor<br />At 2.34 the camera fades and cuts to the penny on the floor again<br />Scene 6<br />We are introduced to the next character; she drops her purse on the floor and when she picks up her money, picks up the penny too.<br />At 2.49 the scene fades to black for the next scene<br />Scene 7<br />We see two characters meet in a café. <br />At 2.55 the scene cuts to black <br />At 2.56 the writing ‘Two years later’ appears<br />Scene 8<br />We see the two characters in a restaurant, as the character proposes, she throws the penny back to a UN suspecting character.<br />At 3.06 we see a close up of the characters face and see that she is surprised by the proposal.<br />At 3.10 the scene cuts to black <br />Scene 9<br />We see the character walking through the door into the distance<br />At 3.19 the credits begin to roll<br />
