2. ï Designing cubes in an
orthogonal way to
create the illusion of
movement. The first
design was created in
clay.
Project 1 - Movement
3. ï The next design
was re-imagined
and created in
chipboard.
4. ï The final project was
built out of museum
board. This project
helped us work on our
overall craft and ability
to work with different
materials.
5.
6.
7. ï This project required us
to take squares and
place them in an
orthogonal way to
create the illusion of
defying gravity.
Project 2 â Defy Gravity
8.
9.
10. ï This project required us to
encapsulate the âdefying gravityâ
project in a 1-inch thick box in
order to show us the negative
space around the mass. It was
created out of blue insulation
foam.
Project 3 â Negative Space
11.
12. ï The next step of this project was to take away mass from the box in
order to create a more aesthetically pleasing look. We placed a 2-inch
gap between the pieces. Last, we were required to add lines and planes
to the spaces to accentuate the design we had created.
