Dum,
Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I had to go through the cold case files. Some idiot had it misfiled – you know
how that goes.
I went back and talked to the detective who was on the scene at the time. He said that they determined the brake line
was cut and suspected that it was intentional. I say suspected, because it could have been something sharp on the
road that sliced the line. But based on the amount of brake fluid left when the car was discovered, the investigators
thought it had been sliced and was slowly leaking as he drove.
They followed some leads but could find no evidence that indicated who could have cut the line – everything was a
dead end. When Ano finally woke up, he had no recollection of the accident. Don’t know if this helps or not.
Good hearing from you after all these years.
