2. Rule of Thirds
The tree trunk it position on the middle of the frame as
showed in the rule of thirds. The purpose of putting the trunk
in the centre of the frame is to focus on the vines going up
the tree. Hence why I chose a low angle to show the journey
of the vines. However if I would change the aperture to a
shallow depth so the trunk would be in focus it would support
it as being the focal point.
3. Cropped
With the pole being on the left hand side of the frame the
negative space doesn’t have it traditional effect because
there are too many small items in the space making a
distraction. Repeatedly, if I would have had a shallow
depth of field it might of improved the photo. Also, if I was
editing I would crop the photo to keep concentration on
the pole.
4. The chain twisted on the pole creates the focus point by it
being in the on left side of the frame breaking the grid of
thirds. With this composition it also creates a minor
negative space with compliments the position of the pole.
This mid low angle shot also helps forms emphasis on the
focal point by it makes the pole look superior.
