Indian Government - Blocking Website

 Internet censorship in India is selectively practiced by both federal
 and state governments to block access to Internet content on a large
 scale for removing content that is obscene or otherwise objectionable
 or national security have become more common in recent years

  Websites Blocked Are Blocked By

    Indian Government
         Or
    Internet service providers

 Which can easily be accessed through proxy servers
     A proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application) that acts as
     an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other
     servers
5th December, 2011
 Kapil Sibal, India’s acting telecommunications minister warns
social websites over objectionable content and
Facebook, Google, YouTube and Yahoo, asked them to evolve a
mechanism to filter such “inflammatory” and “defamatory”
More then 350 Websites Would Get effected Which includes

  Social Network

  Facebook
  Twitter
  Linkedin
  Orkut

   Search Engines

   Google
   Yahoo
   Microsoft
Finally Google And all other website end up by
remove around 358 items by the Government of
India out of which 255 items
Orkut Removed 19 Items




Other reasons include
Defamation (39 Requests)
Privacy And Security (20 Requests)
 Impersonation (14 Requests)
 Hate Speech (8 Requests)
 Pornography (3 Requests)
National Security (1 Request)
