1. Safety in my neighbourhood
Today we are going to draw a
digital map and label safe and
unsafe areas in the area you live
in.
2. Instructions
1. Log onto
www.digimapforschools.edina.ac.uk
1. Username – KT12JT
2. Password –twoafs22 Now enter the name
of the area you live (e.g. Kingston,
Teddington, Esher, etc) into the search
box and click go! (If it asks click on the
place in Surrey)

4. • Next click on the expand button to get it full
screen
• Click on ‘print screen’
• Open up PUBLISHER and then paste the document in
• Then with the image highlighted click on the crop tool and
crop the image to just show the map.
• Then label at least 3 safe and 3 unsafe places using text
boxes and arrows under the ‘insert’ tab at the top.
• PUT YOUR NAME ON IT!
• If you have finished then do the same for another area
that you know in the UK, e.g. holiday destination or family
relatives house, etc.
