2. There are many benefits to digital storytelling. I think the children could learn a lot from using in class everyday. They could use it as a tool for many different kinds of assignments. I am a Science teacher. One of the ways digital storytelling would benefit my students, is perhaps one of the ideas that can be found in the video, “Digital Storytelling. Their idea that students doing a project might want to be able to play the experiment (with knowing its outcome already for the audience) and be able to discuss it at the same time. I think my class and I would agree this could benefit us greatly! Cite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP6CeGLPuOY&feature=player_embedded
3. By using digital storytelling in the classroom, the kids have the chance to: Analyze Revise Scheme Edit Include more extensive media Gain knowledge about the technologies using for digital storytelling. It’s a win-win situation for everyone!!!!!!!
4. Maybe I’ll be a little more impressed with some of their class- work habits as well, if they have time to make all of these re-visions and such……..
5. Students who have a hard time with understanding about their surroundings will find digital storytelling a huge benefit, helping them to better see the world going on around them the “second” time- during playback. Another highlight to digital story telling in the classroom can be one for the parents: Sure, parents can try to attend acted-out plays, and overly rehearsal recitals. But how often do you actually get to see your child in a more raw element of school, putting on a presentation, or showing an experiment's effects- these things can be kept as great mementos! Chapter five gives us superior ideas on how to record, playback, and save the technology so that it is with us forever Cite: Shelly, Cashman, Gunter. “Integrating Technology into the Classroom.”.
6. Digital media will continue to play an important part in education. If we show the children how to make it an everyday part of their lives, they will grow up learning to automatically function with it. I am a big fan of educational technology, and would love to learn every way I can incorporate it into my classroom.
